Yeah, but cannabis ramps up your metabolism substantially and also alters fat metabolism and storage. Habitual cannabis users tend to have lower BMIs as a result.
Fun fact, in the US, in states that have legalized cannabis, the obesity crisis has straight up stalled. It's not getting better, but it has stopped getting worse, and obesity rates have fallen short of projections, unlike states where cannabis remains illegal.
