Very likely he walks and we go free agency or trade

We have no cap space and S&Ts are rare. If he walks we are absolutely screwed

I know he has in impact but if we get half a season and half playoff run with him how far are we really going, the FO is probably considering health of players more than ever right now because of how many injuries we just had. It makes sense that they’d build around a healthier roster this time around, I’m not saying the Knicks don’t want OG but I do think his value as a Knick took a dive.

Especially when you consider that if we were healthy we could have made it to the finals potentially, wouldn’t make sense for to make the same mistake again and push for injury prone players

OG raises our ceiling significantly. There’s no better option at this point in time and we’d be extremely stupid to let him walk.

We literally made the same progress as 2022-23 season without OG what are you talking about?

I mean we traded some of the guys who helped us get past the first round for OG. They need to retain OG because IQ and RJ are no longer there AND they don't have a replacement if OG walks/

Rj and IQ we’re leaving regardless, RJ was terrible here and IQ wanted a bigger role

I mean yes. We need to pay OG because we gave both up and their salaries were going to combined for 50 mil regardless.

We got basically swept with a FULLY healthy roster in 2023. We would have made it conference finals and possibly further with a FULLY healthy roster this year. How is that the same progress? You arnt worth arguing with, don’t watch basketball, are not a real fan.

Randle was injured, our second best player (and 1st best at the time)

We were still a second round exit, that’s quite literally the same progression
