Glad they gave Bulletproof that role-call scene with Black Samson.

Great summary of The Guardians' current dysfunction and, plus, it gave some degree of depth to the most one note member of the current Guardians lineup.

After the complete lack of details or scenes with Rae, pre gut-check, I respect the choice to give Bulletproof something.

Honestly, I didn't care for the scene. Felt like an exposition dump about things we, as an audience, are already aware of, but with quirky quips. Yes, he know Monster Girl and Rudy aren't getting along. Yes, we know Rex-Splode is going through stuff. Yes, we know the Immortal is old and traumatized. Yes, we know Shrinking Rae is in the hospital.

And yes, we know Black Samson is bald. We don't need all of this spelled out.

It didn't even give that much insight into Bulletproof. All I got from that scene is that he is bitter and probably projects, but we didn't need a whole scene expositing what is happening with the guardians.

So far, I know nothing about Bulletproof and really only know his powerset because of the Invisible mobile game (did they mention it earlier? It is hard to remember because there are such long breaks between seasons and episodes). I'd rather his first significant scene not to be telling exposition about other characters that the audience already knows. I'd like to learn more about him.

Fair point, maybe a scene of them fighting some minor villains where you a) get to see his powers b) get to see the team being dysfunctional as the culmination of the factors we know c) get him to talk similarly to how he did here.

What even are his powers? They brought him on the team as "extra strenght", put what can he even do?

Seems like he is a generic brick, hence the name. So he is likely like Immortal, just weaker - like Samson.

Bulletproof was originally the name and costume design for Mark, before the change to Invincible. Kirkman then decided to bring him in as a separate character with the same power set, but weaker.
