Honestly did not expect all of the love triangle stuff to happen this early or the way it has. Really love the parallels

is it a love triangle? it’s eve basically pining secretly for mark and he not giving her any attention whatsoever. for now at least

yeah i don’t really like how mark is to eve tbh. like he isn’t even there for her as a friend and she is always there for him or even amber. right now in the show i am not sure i like him for her tbh. i hope the showrunners do a good job at developing this relationship because right now it’s just not working for me and it’s too onesided. i even start to think she should maybe try the rex thing again lol

Trying to be with Rex again would be a mistake lol. And I don't even think Rex wants to be with her because he doesn't want to hurt her again. Also seems like Eve thinks Rex has done irreversible damage to their relationship, cheating on her MULTIPLE times.

Mark does care for her the way she does him, you just have to think about how much the guy has been through in like the past 6 weeks.

Eve has a lot on her plate but by the sound of it, is able to manage it. Mark has WAY WAY too much to be showing affection to anyone, even his girlfriend is suffering from it.

You forget he was tasked to take over the planet.

if anything rex is going to encourage mark and eve to get together and make fun of them for not realizing they should be together

lol i don’t really want her back with rex it’s just that right now enjoy their scenes way more than with mark. i miss their season 1 dynamic. i guess i was just expecting something more like in the comics with them

This is pretty much how he was towards her in the comics at this time tbh.

He's just got his mind focused on other things. And, of course, he's more oblivious than outright ignoring her. He's got nothing against her and isn't actively TRYING to avoid her.

He just sucks at realising Eve wants to spend time with him.

You got downvoted but your right. Her scenes with him have been fire while this season her scenes with mark have fallen flat. The show is just not developing that side of them well enough to make me believe they should be together. While with rex you can easily read the subtext with the added scene of her bringing the mag's that she still likes him etc. So yea.

yeah thank you for understanding me. that is exactly what I meant by that. i love mark and eve and i want them together. but the lack of development and marks complete disregard of her have thrown me off a bit. i need solid build up before they get together and i am afraid it’s not going to happen and that they get together just because they both have powers and it makes sense. not good enough reason, sorry. in season 1 there wasn’t anything romantic between them but the connection was there and now they’re barely even friends. I don’t know that hospital scene just wasn’t it, i kinda hated mark there lol

Yea I think they are going to have them get together much later then the comics as I think they are going to give the breakup more reverence then in the comics. So MAYBE eve confesses her feelings at the end of s2e8 but I dont see them get together till after mark figures himself out which probably sometime late season 3. Hopefully by then they have a much better connection. Which is a shame as I really like mark and eve together in the comics too.

You’re not wrong, but Mark just isn’t in that place yet. I think we need to wait for them to actually get to that subplot before we start judging it 😅.

You guys are acting like he's treating her like shit, when in reality he's too distracted by his relationship with Amber and how poorly it's going.

that’s my point. i get he has his own problems but she is supposed to be his friend who was and is always there for him. she also had a hard time and was clearly hurt by what happened to rex. maybe show a bit of compassion toward your friend as well. i kind of would have liked if they talked a bit in the hospital but he couldn’t get away fast enough. not saying he doesn’t like her, i just would like a bit of moments here and there between them, even just as friends

In the comic it starts pretty early as well. There is some extra hoops, but if you forgot how it went in the book I kinda don’t even want to spoil you even in the comic spoiler thread. 🎭

No I know, I figured they’d leave bread crumbs while waiting till after Angstrom to drop any real for any real progress for Mark and Eve. But having them break up this way rather than having mark cheat on Amber is kinda more satisfying.

Technically, I’d say mark takes the first step in “cheating”. He kisses eve before breaking anything off with Amber, while she does see another guy for support, I wouldn’t call that cheating until any move is really made
