Which is so bs, if she was a guy doing this to a female mc no way they would give her a redemption arc.

I do find it funny people are more forgiving of the genocides than this.

Rape is a special kind of evil is a trope for a reason lol.

Do you enjoy omni man by the end?

I didn't. Giving him a redemption arc was such a terrible choice, especially with his wife taking him back.

I still think that last bit was insane

Wait, Debbie takes him back? Fucking wild. Part of me wanted Nolan to go back to her and apologize for it all but honestly after seeing her in the most recent episode I wouldn’t blame her if she didn’t. I kind of don’t want her to.

Is it really a redemption arc if the only people that forgave him were his wife and son? And even then, Debbie did so with a huge amount of skepticism. He didn't win Earth back or anything like that. And Cecil only kept him around as the Viltrumite threat was finally looming over. I feel like redemption arc is giving Omni Man too much credit. I can totally see his family forgiving him if it meant going back to the way things were, and even then, they didn't go back. 20 years is a long time for Debbie to simply overlook when the change was so sudden relative to their relationship.

And Mark I can't even blame for looking for solace in his father considering how much he started to add onto his plate. He needed direction, even if that direction came from someone that did unspeakable things, he's still your blood.

Considering that one of those is our main character and the story is from his point t of view, yes. That's a redemption arc.

I love how conversation has to devolve into such snarkiness for no reason lol. I'm literally just asking a question. I didn't think of it from the perspective of Mark only. Considering the amount of characters in the comic it's fair to look at it through the lens of more than one character. Sure, if I'm looking at it from Mark's perspective then yeah, I definitely agree. But I can't view Omni Man through that lens because most of what he does is isolated to only a few people.

omni man gets a pass bc in the comics the viltrimites where so OP compared to everyone else that there really was no conceivable way noland could resist them without the events of the comics happening.

That would be true

If he hadn’t clearly been of the same opinion of them until Mark came along.

It wasn’t that he couldn’t resist, it was that he didn’t want to.
