Media Biden’s face

Post image
971 Upvotes

This was Biden’s face when Trump was talking about Charlottesville being fabricated and that the videos were fake.

U can see the horror in his eyes LOL.

It was just so funny seeing his facial expressions, like he really couldn’t believe the utter bullshit he was hearing while hon national tv with millions watching.

Anyways…. That debate was something…………………….. I keep hearing a lot of “Trump won” “Biden lost.”…… truth be told, this is actually scary if they are our only option.. which they shouldn’t be.

So let’s go out there and vote cause…. There wont be a future for us if we don’t get these candidates replaced.

Political I want a real election. Not whatever this is.

4.4k Upvotes

I cant stand this. I get to choose between two people older than my grandparents? Id rather vote for an actual corpse. Jesus christ. What a joke of a country. I just want a mid 40s president who would try and make healthcare cheaper, is that too much??

Edit: This genuinly feels like i get to choose one disease to live with for the rest of my life. None of them are good options... id also like to add. We all know Trump is the worse option, i just wish there was an actually good option. Maybe even a candidate who supports social services and doesnt bomb kids overseas.

Political I’m so sick of seeing these “hOw DiD tHeSe GuYs BeCoMe ThE tWo CaNdIdAtEs” posts.

They won their primary elections. That’s how. It’s such a pet peeve of mine. Every single one of the past three elections people always go “how are these the two candidates” “I’d have liked anybody else.” Then why didn’t you vote in the primary elections? And if you did vote in the primaries, then you know why. It’s because your candidate lost to them. It’s like when the general election rolls around everybody gets amnesia and forgets the primary elections happened. Just something I’m sick of seeing over and over again. So can we please stop with this question? Thank you. You can express disappointment with the two candidates but just know that they’re there because a majority of voters from their party wanted them to be. The American voters caused this.

Political “Both of them are bad” “America is doomed” is the latest annoying consensus

Vote. You have a few months to research what both of them actually done to the country, and what they've been saying for the last couple of months.

Also, the media is your enemy it's a cope to believe that most news site are left leaning sure there's only a few many of these news sites rely on clickbait and now the average American thinks both of the running candidates are bad so you're going to see a lot of doom click baiting about both of them being bad

you're not voting for the man, you're voting for his policies, and, his team.

Gen Z has now become a voting factor, we're big now. Some of us get induced by one two twitter hatepost though

Political To the people that need to hear it. You are not voting for 1 person. You are voting for every person that is going to be hired to run the country.

Elections are not just about voting for 1 person. It is voting for the ideas that are behind them. The ideas that they support. And the people that want to work to make them happen.

Look who endorses and supports the president candidates. Some of those people are going to end up working in the White House. And they will be (weighing/deciding) policies that will effect your lives for decades.

So if you like Steve Bannon, and Stephen Miller good news, they are both waiting to be rehired.

Discussion Does it bother you that Reddit Shutdown comments during last nights debate?

Curious if it bothers you that Reddit shutdown comments during last nights debate. I'm not super sure of how the internals of Reddit work ie did Reddit hide comments or did moderators, I do know a handful of mods control most of Reddit but it was intersting to see a megathread on r/politics with 1800 comments showing 0 comments, even threads on here, r/millenials and numerous other subreddits would show minimal comments of those posted or none at all.

What's the justification for this? Does it bother you?

Political So SCOTUS Just Gutted the EPA...

This morning, SCOTUS published a few different rulings, one of which overturned Chevron USA v. Natural Resource Defense Council, a landmark 1984 Supreme Court case that established one of the most important legal doctrines in recent history, known as "Chevron deference". Under this doctrine, if a statute passed by Congress is ambiguous with regard to a specific issue, and the subject matter falls within the purview of an independent regulatory agency, the courts must defer to the agency's expertise and interpretation of the statute as long as it is reasonable, as Congress charged these agencies with administering the statues under each agency's purview.

However, after this decision, it is no longer independent agencies, which must publish public notices and allow for public commentary before enacting policies for Chevron to be applicable, as well as answer to the president and Congress and are thus held accountable by the public, that make regulatory decisions; now it's the courts, whose judges are appointed for life and are unable to be removed outside of a select few circumstances, that make these decisions. It's not even like the courts weren't able to check agency power under Chevron either; some 30% of court cases regarding any agency's policies are ruled against the agency.

So much of the progress made on combating climate change in the US has been because of Chevron deference, and this ruling will likely significantly stall further progress. It's not even just the EPA; every independent regulatory agency was just gutted — the Federal Election Commission, National Labor Relations Board, FCC, FTC, SEC, FDA, OSHA, etc., in what is the most far-reaching and influential ruling this court has made.

They decided to throw 40 years of precedent out the window and gave the courts an unprecedented amount of power to now legislate from the bench. Conveniently, while this court has routinely cited a desire to prevent or undo any "legislating from the bench" in many of their rulings, SCOTUS now quite literally has vested that power within the judicial branch.

Even beyond the impact on regulatory agencies, this ruling creates uncertainty for businesses as courts are not beholden to the same notices and public commentary periods that independent agencies are, not to mention the chaos it could cause with multiple judges possibly passing down different rulings on the same subject. And in a time where so many are concerned about the state of the economy, the absolute last thing that is needed is more uncertainty.

Discussion Why do you think dating so bad in this generation?

Where’s the romance, commitment, and communication!? I believe the amount of options both sides have because of dating apps is killing modern dating. It’s like we have the mentality of “I really like this person but, could there be greener grass?”

Discussion Anyone else tired of getting the whole “Just wait till your a adult and then you’ll see” attitude getting shoved down our throats?

I just recently turned 18 and everyone has given me “the talk”. “Oh you don’t know struggle when your a adult” “You won’t have your mom to help you anymore!” “Just wait until you see how expensive everything is”. Holy shit I fucking know, I’m not fucking dumb. I not ice things too guys. I understand that advice in your early year is important, but holy fucking shot everyone. I’m pretty sure everyone have been told this at least once right? Sorry if this sounds more like a rant. But I’m just wondering if anyone else is tired of hearing the exact same things about adulting as me? Sorry and thanks

Last night was rough. That being said, if today’s speech is anything to go by, I think Dark Brandon slept off his cold. Remember guys, a vote for the president is a vote for their cabinet, their platform, and any Supreme Court vacancies that might open up. I’ll gladly vote for grandpa Joe over the grandpa who’s a rapist, convicted felon, and wannabe dictator any day of the week. I hope you will too. I’m not about to sit by while our country gets handed over to a cult and our institutions are destroyed.
