I agree. This is really it? I mean as part of a Vault set with say your choice of default in Vault suit, a glider and the Vault Boy bobblehead it would be cool. But just the Vault Boy bobblehead and nothing else? It is a let-down.
I mean, the Power Armor is already the skin in the BP, but they could have had defaults in vault suits, NCR ranger skin, Brotherhood scribe outfits, characters from the TV show, skins of companions from the games, etc. Like they had a number of options that would have been acceptable for at least one skin and that is not even getting into other stuff that could have been weapon skins, backblings, gliders, or pickaxes.

Big let down for me… I know it’s a longshot, but when the collab was first teased last month, I was really hoping for something like the knight from the OG season.
It would’ve been great to have a vault dweller skin that you can unlock customizations through quests. I was thinking the style could change (zipped, unzipped, leather armor, metal armor), you could customize the number, and maybe they could throw in some recognizable headgear or something. Having power armor and a bobblehead hardly feels like a collab at all.

Part of me thinks we could get more power armor skins later on as we currently have the T-60 in the BP. Maybe they could be able to do T-51 or the X-01 armors at some point.
They could even have had Lucy or the very least defaults Vault Dweller suits (like the Football and Soccer skins).
They could have even done some pickaxes to like the Power Fist, Shishkebab, Ripper or Super Sledge.
It sucks that we just get a backbling.

Honestly the pip boy back bling is a little disappointing. The animations are awesome, but it sits awkwardly high on just about any skin that’s not the t-60 armors, making it look out of place on them; and the design of the t-60 armor does not work to realistically have such a big thing attached to its back, so it just kinda floats and looks off. I have my T-60 presets use no backbling as a result, even though I use them for most of my other skins.

It is... Acceptable... I would've KILLED for an NCR skin or Vault-Dwellers. Heck, my idea was a "Sole Survivor Quest Pack". You would start off with the base Sole Survivor in just a vault suit, but with the "Crawlout Through The Fallout" quests you would unlock extra styles. The more quests you complete, the more "Wastelandish" he would get, giving him raider leathers and dirt stains, with the final style having "top tier" armor. The backbling would've either been a pet Dogmeat or Codsworth (He would work like Claptrap) A Super Sledge or Power-Fist pickaxe would've gone hard too with a Vertibird as a glider. (Missed BP opportunity) The quest pack could've costed around $19.99 or $25.99 due to the amount of stuff. I mean the bobble head is a Fallout 4 Vault-Suit, so it fits perfectly.

What people are upset about is the wasted potential for multiple skins. This collab was likely pieced together prior to the release of the show and its massive success. We got a cool skin with several ribbon features (an emote, glider, pickaxe, and back bling). Beyond the emote, all that stuff is wrapped up with the initial skin.
Beyond vault suits, there are literally dozens of options: generic ghoul/super mutant (glowing one/night kin variant options). For FO4 they could have done a Silver Shroud and Mechanist bundle. NCR Ranger and/or Legion/Caesar bundle. They have 6 major games to draw from and one skin. Fallout fans are used to micro transactions; they would have gobbled up what you fed them if it was relatively decent.
In comparison, MGS got Raiden as an alt skin in shop. Family Guy got a Giant Chicken. Fallout got a non-reactive backbling.

T-45, T-51, X-01, X-02, X-03(Hellfire) power armor, Nate/Nora, Nick Valentine, Boone, Gannon, NCR Ranger, The Ghoul, Hancock, Raul, Charon, Nuka-Girl, Lucy, Danse, Maximus, Ceasar, Wherner, Lanius, Joshua Graham, Ashar, Sarah Lions, Ulysses, Butch DeLoria, Gary, Sunny Smiles, Liberty Prime, Preston Garvey, Uncle Leo, Strong, Lilly, Fawkes, Desmond Lockheart, Three Dogg. Those are just characters.
The Master, President Eden, Mr. House, Yes Man, MODUS, Victor, Codsworth, Dr. Mobius, and Dr. Klein, all S.P.E.C.I.A.L. bobbleheads, Bottle & Cappy, Fisto, your dad as a dog. Those can all be backblings.
Deathclaw gauntlets, Powerfist, Blade of the East, House's golf club, Zetan shock baton, the auto axe, the ripper. Those can all be mining tools.
Butcher Pete, I Don't Want to Set the World on Fire, Big Iron, Country Roads Take me Home, and The Wanderer jam tracks
Vertibird, Cazador, Bloatfly, and atom bomb (Dr. Strangelove style) gliders.
Fallout probably has like the most potential for a collab I have ever seen and one skin and one backbling is all we get? Give me any combination of 3 of these and I'd be the happiest man on earth

This whole Metallica and Fallout crossover has officially killed any love or positive feelings I’ve had for this game. I can’t even play more than one match this season due to obvious complaints, but the fact they came for two other forms of entertainment I directly hold close, has just shown me how shifty these mfs are, and that they willllll do anything for a quick buck. Seriously tho, as a decades long Metallica and fallout fan, it seems like they directly target me and are just trolling me. Self centered I know, but I just can’t do it with these business practices. I mean 70 dollars for a Metallica pack? I know half that ain’t going to the band, so why would i support that? I already spent 2k on tickets this year on their tour, no problem in the slightest. But I refuse this.

personally i don't mind the metallica thing too much (besides the bundle being so expensive), but i also play a lot of festival where you get a lot of their stuff via the battlepass, you get the entire band + some amazing instruments which feels more fair.
but ye shop content hasn't been the best
