NOOOOOOO TO BEN SIMMONS. Cam Johnson and DFS I am more than fine with, trust me. You know Brooklyn is going to be stingy with their picks because they’re in a full rebuild. If it’s 2 first round picks unprotected then MAYBE. I do not want Ben Simmons period. If you’re going to absorb bad contracts and a bad player, then Ben Simmons is quite literally the epitome of that. He’s unplayable.

Have you not seen his instagram? Dude is really getting after it like dribbling and shooting and being oiled up and stuff. Bakkaball.

Would you say he is in the best shape of his life?

Don't do this to me again

They would have to attach a pick and they have no real reason to since he's expiring and they're tanking, and also below the luxury tax already.

What do they mean by “Nets are taking offers” more like “Nets are listening to offers, literally anything, hell we’ll give YOU something!”

I am taking offers on the rusted-out ‘95 corolla in my backyard. I think a bear stole the engine but it still has all of its mirrors

Does it comes with 2 unprotected first round picks in the NBA draft?

I'd be interested, worst that can happen is he doesn't play. He's an expiring contract and could be an all time reclamation project. I wouldn't give up anything for him, but I'd take him in a salary dump if that's even possible at his salary

Exactly. We need to stock up on picks because this will be the final tank. To put it bluntly it needs to be, otherwise we're completely fucked. More than we already are anyway. It's a disgusting contract but it's an expiring one, it's as close to "who cares" as it gets

more like taking a bottle of water and a bag of chips on the way out of the conference room. Because that’s a joke

I feel bad because he seems like a really nice guy but he has the most horrendous takes

Ben Simmons has one year left. If the former all star is ever going to play well, it’ll be for his next contract. If he doesn’t play well, then it’s this year. I’d worry more about his attitude and how he impacts team culture.

They need to run as far away from Simmons as they can.

I don’t get why Brooklyn wouldn’t keep their tank commander around for the Flagg sweepstakes.

Any thoughts on Ben Simmons tho? I've been thinking he might be an interesting target

Fuck no keep that cry baby bitch away from this team.

Can’t we just trade for him and waive him? If the Pistons are not trying to win next year they could do this and just run it back..

I’ll take on anyone if the draft compensation is right. Ben Simmons is a complete black hole, so it’s gotta be a kings ransom. If things going right for us, we’re not going to be in a position to take on 50 million in salary again. We are going to be bad this year no matter what. I’d rather take a chance on Lavine, but you gotta pick the right deal because you only get one shot.

Like an r nba commenter said, this is phase 1 of any rebuild, and we’re just doing it five years too late (or 15 if you want to go back multiple regimes). Use our cap space to accumulate assets, then hope we drafted the right guys. Once you feel like you’ve got a core group, ship off some assets for a star to put us over the top.

Tell me you don't understand the NBA or the salary cap without telling me you don't understand the NBA or the salary cap
