Fripp Island steamer pots / seafood boil discussion

Is there a steamer pot to-go or seafood boil catering service for Fripp Island? We are looking to eat at the beach house. I don’t mind cooking everything but having a lot of the prep done would be ideal. I have used them in the Outer Banks, where they came and set everything up and gave an instruction sheet and it worked out well.

try calling Johnson Creek Tavern on Harbour Island they have the best food anywhere near Fripp - You're right to plan ahead for Fripp because all the restaurants on the island are trash - we always stop at the Publix on the way in and go to Johnson Creek

good to know - I don't know if you've stayed at Fripp before  but the restaurants have a reputation for being overpriced fried food - I glanced at the menus at the various restaurants last time and was just like no way - we go to the Publix on the way in and the Walmart if we need pool supplies or anything else they're almost across the street from each other - then we go over to Johnson Creek for dinner which is very reasonable for what it is - we've been going down there since the 70s - we used to stay out towards the far end but now we stay in the condos near the golf course and after having looked at pretty much every beach on the South Carolina coast I'm convinced that's the best place to be for scenery and quiet - if you're bored and want something exciting they have shelling trips over to Pritchard Island across the way which you used to be able to walk to until the current shifted 30 years ago - I think I'm gonna try that this year - Also if you have kids the nature center next to the dock on the far end of hunting island has snake displays with some very cute corn snakes if they've reopened and a path out to the pretty unimproved end of Hunting Island  beach - also if you feel like a ride into town there's a nature preserve with a new boardwalk down in Port Royal where thousands of birds settle in at night and it's absolutely phenomenal well worth the drive, as is the other walkway down by the boat dock in Port Royal

This is timely and incredible feedback. Thank you for taking the time to jot this down. It will be our first trip to Fripp. I’ve had several recs for Johnson Creek.
