The greatest threat to democracy in America, and the DNC chooses to run a geriatric as opposition. Shame on them.

You can tell the DNC learned from RBG and Feinstein.

The DNC doesn't learn. They're still paying the price for screwing Bernie because "he's not a realistic candidate" and in turn created voter apathy for huge amount of fired-up young progressives last decade.

Trunp wasn't a realistic candidate and that worked out fine for the GOP though.

Thank you.

As a former hardcore Bernie bro-ette, I have listened to people try and blame him for Trump winning in 2016 without understanding what you just said, that the DNC created an enormous amount of voter apathy by declaring that they didn't give a rat's a$$ who the voters wanted and shoved an unlikable candidate down our throats.

They continued this trend with shoving Biden down our throats four years later.

Last night after I turned off the debate, a Bernie video came across my YouTube feed. When I saw how much energy that man still has despite being a year older than Biden, I wanted to cry. He could have mopped the floor with Trump.

Great comment! That's exactly what the DNC has done.

a Bernie video came across my YouTube feed. When I saw how much energy that man still has despite being a year older than Biden, I wanted to cry. He could have mopped the floor with Trump.

It's very sad because Sanders always came off as extremely passionate about the injustices he wanted to correct, whereas Biden just comes off as a puppet being spoon-fed carefully-curated information to please [insert random category here].

The DNC is to blame for this entire mess. The arrogant assholes didn't learn a single thing from 2016 or 2020.

The fact that Biden barely won in 2020 should've raised enough of an alarm to build up a new candidate for 2024.

I'm calling it now. There is no way Biden can win this election.

Biden has shown a significant decline.

Trump voters have never given a shit about facts or honesty or criminal records, and Trump showed everyone yesterday that he hasn't changed at all. He is still exactly what they wanted him and expected him to be.

Already heard a few on the left saying fuck it and are voting for Trump after watching the debate and seeing the DNC fuck them over again

No, there are Trumpties online acting.

I doubt that any sizable number of liberals would actually cast a vote for Trump, because abstaining would be just as effective without the extreme cognitive dissonance. If someone is saying that, they probably aren’t actually on the left (nice try, Eric), aren’t actually American (thanks, Vlad or Ji), or don’t actually vote (bots).

Biggest BS I've seen today.

Yep, of all voters it’s entirely impossible they’d be influenced to change their vote

If "leftists" are voting for Trump, then they're not leftists. It's that simple.

No True Scotsman

Nice fallacy, but if you're voting for the guy who is your polar opposite in political views, then perhaps some introspection is in order.

That is an absolute falsehood.

Agreed.

Preemptively blaming the left for Biden losing what should be the world’s easiest election. Classic

It was never going to be an easy election.

The fact that you think that was ever possible, with anyone on the ticket, shows you don't understand what we're up against with Trump...

Maybe not, I’m just some dumbass on reddit. But after last nights performance you can say the same thing about the entire Democratic Party. They clearly have no fucking clue how to beat Trump if they think the guy who “showed up” last night is the only one who can save us from fascism. No, I don’t really have confidence that anyone can win at this point, but after years and years of us warning y’all about this incredibly predictable outcome, and just being told to shut up and plug our noses, I’m not going to act surprised that the Dems now have to lay in the bed they made. It pisses me the fuck off because some of us have so much to lose, yet the best fighter they could put up against the fascists was the reanimated corpse of Joe Biden
