GOP spent 50 years convincing dumbfucks that they should vote against their own interests.

It's more complicated than that, it is a combination of stupidity, selfishness (tax cuts) and just the simple fact that a lot of liberal policies like DEI and gender fluidity REALLY don't play well in the sticks and since there is only 2 choices for president, there you go.

People like you accuse Republicans of being selfish, yet then you claim they vote against their own interests, which would imply very non-selfish behavior. Basically what you're saying is that Democrats are extremely selfish. A person though should never vote strictly for their own self interest, they should vote for their own interest PLUS what is overall best for the country period. Voting strictly for one's own interests can mean voting against what is best for the country.
