I dont like that at all for atlanta, I think dejounte is worth more

one pick is from the lakers the other is least favorable of MIL/NOP so probably the milwaukee pick and its probably in the mid 20s

just look how pels fans are reacting, its a great trade for them

Awful trade for Atlanta it's almost unbelievable

they traded 3 FRP and a FRP swap for dejounte so they are definitely coming away with less than they paid for him

We are coming away with almost exactly what we paid for him, if not more.

We gave up '25, '27 and a swap in '26 (Quite possible there is no swap because Spurs finish worse)

We gave them the Hornets pick which is actually two 2nd's because it never conveyed as a first due to protections.

We got back 2 FRP's, Nance, and a solid wing in Dyson.

our picks were unprotected and they're going to both be #1 overall at this rate

Dyson is the big question. I wouldnt call him solid yet.

It makes a bit more sense but two late firsts and dyson for Murray is nothing. Nance is kinda a random in a deal like this. Doesnt do too much ans seems like he's on his way out of the league of late. Might have been the fit on the Pels tho

I think that’s what you got to tell yourself to cope lol. Phenomenal trade for the Pelicans and horrible trade for the Hawks.

Not really, Trae and DJM just didn't gel together, just getting DJM gone improves us alone. We need defense which Dyson gives us and we get back the same amount of FRPs so it's fine by me.

Maybe not horrible like I initially said, but Pelicans won the trade. You are a Hawks fan so you gotta talk yourself into it. As a someone who doesn’t care about the Hawks or Pelicans, Pelicans did better here.

It doesn't have to have a winner, if anything I would say win/win. Like it's not even hyperbole that Trae was a better defender than DJM this year lol, the numbers even back that up which is wild.

I hear you… Murray did fall off defensively quite a bit. I guess it depends on what you do next. Seems like full on rebuild time, which is smart on your part. I think every team in the East outside of The Celtics, Knicks, Bucks, 76ers, Pacers, and Magic should blow it up and tank.

What are your thoughts on moving Young now?

I just don’t see how anyone is going to be able to reach the Celtics level for years. Knicks are taking their best shot, and prob the only team with a punchers chance. Bucks and 76ers got work to do, but will be in that top tier because of their superstars. Pacers and Magic are good young upcoming teams.

I just feel like teams like the Hawks, Cavs, and Heat are shit out of luck. Dominate teams now they can’t compete with and more talented up and coming teams. I dunno, those 3 teams to me are in NBA standings hell. 6-10 finishes for the foreseeable future with no chance to make the ECF or even get out of round 1.

I mean nets did a deal of swapping frps to get control with Houston but I think spurs not gonna do that they know better
