Update on our rescue, Daisy

Post image

When we pulled Daisy from the shelter, she had just had eye surgery because her eye erupted. Her sutures came out today, but sadly the other eye has to be removed as well.

She is scheduled for surgery Wednesday morning, and a possible spay, if she handles anesthesia well. Her foster mom has been doing an amazing job caring and loving her during these rough times💗 I post updates daily here, and on our Facebook rescue page.

As always, I will continue to keep everyone updated once she has surgery Wednesday! If anyone is interested in helping, we have some special items specifically for her on our wishlist. These items are to help her transition into her new journey as a blind kitty.

Also- our rescue baby PJ gets adopted Sunday🥳he was rescued off the euth list, but now he’s going to his forever home!

If you don’t mind me asking, how do you rescue cats from euth? Are you apart of an organization? Fostering my first kitten (I have4 cats) and it’s been a beautiful, though a bit challenging, experience. I would love to foster more. I’m sure there are plenty in need of help.

We are a 501c3 nonprofit rescue (I have proof on my page) we are Love 4 Paws Rescue. So we are able to pull as many as 6 off the euth list at a time. So many amazing kitties are on the euthanasia lists, and fostering is soooo helpful!! Fosters are honestly the backbone to everything we do💗 bless you and your foster kitty!

Edit: and after we rescue them, we spay/neuter, get them vetted for literally everything and they get all their shots, we find them amazing homes through our adoption events at petsmart💗

So, sorry, that she is losing the other eye!! She is such a sweet babiezzzzzz…. With or without eyes… I’m so in love with her !! Yes, it’s not going to be easy to take care of her, all the time… but, she is worth it— 💕🙏

My husband says I’m weird, but a one eyed (or no eyed) cat is at the top of my wish list for a pet 🥰

Lola my two year old is blind but her eyes are still in her face. She does fine here at home and is a happy cat

My only advice was it took me several doctors before i found one who knows eyes. I hope yours does as well.

This baby is so loved. I know she’s going to have a rough time, but she’s got a ton of support from loving people around her. She’s young enough that adjusting to being fully blind will go much smoother.

If I wasn’t so house-poor I’d donate.

Good people saved my two one-eyed cats and one day I’d like to do that back!

Taking care of your two fur babies is giving back, and it’s important.

Thank you.

My daughters adopted a kitten whose eyes were already removed. She is living her best spoiled life in New York. We like to say she doesn’t have eyes but can see—you’d never know she was blind by how aware of her environment she is!

One of our cats is blind. Probably since birth as she was a blind when we got her out of the backyard as a kitten. Doesn't bother her a bit, she can even go up and down stairs. She just walks until she bumps into something, turns, and keeps going.

I call her our little Roomba.
