I think part of this is due to the fact that the threat of trump becoming president again got very real during the debate. I think some undecided folks had a “oh shit this is real” moment.

I think the "putin told me he wanted to take over ukraine" did it for a lot of people.

That part was horrible and did I misunderstand or did Trump admit to talking to Putin and tell him not to release the Washington Post journalist until after the election?

could have also been "...everybody wanted roe vs. wade overturned, i got that done". the campaign ads just write themselves

Or defending killing Roe or giving weird graphic images of dead babies

How do you suppose an abortion is carried out during the third trimester? Which was the discussion at the end.

are you silly enough to believe people randomly get 3rd trimester abortions out of convenience?

When he was going on about abortions after the baby is born I’m just like ok I know his base believes this but no person or at least average intelligence does right?

Abortions during the third trimester are only done if the fetus has a non-survivable birth defect or the mother’s life is in danger.

In Oregon, there is no legal restriction on abortion because it is considered a medical issue that government shouldn’t play a role in. With that said, no medical institution or insurance company in Oregon has ever approved a third trimester abortion just for funsies. They will only approve it if the life of the mother is in danger or there is a fatal birth defect in the fetus.

Also, no baby has ever been aborted after birth. That is a made up right wing talking point that isn’t even possible.

Usually in a hospital because of severe risks to the mother’s health.

But I can see why someone who doesn’t think women deserve to live beyond baby making might not care about that

Wait. Are you asking this as a serious question? Do you think people do abortions during the third trimester??? If your baby dies or has to be terminated late term then you are delivering that baby.

Anyone who knows anything about Putin knew this. Hell there is video of Bill Clinton saying the same shit. Putin has always wanted to restore old Russia and anyone who hasn’t had their head up their ass for the past 30 years knows that.

Since I can’t respond to the guy below, go watch what he said and when he said it again, you’re right context does matter and you’re not using it in this case.

Trump was talking about Afghanistan and said after the withdrawal Putin shared his dream. Context matters.

Yeah for some people I think there's very much something to this. Trump is fun when he's a rabble-rouser throwing peanuts at the guy in charge, not so much when you seriously picture him as President until 2029.

Not saying it did more good than harm, but that may have turned some undecideds into "ok I'm done fucking around, I'll do the safe thing here."

All Biden really had to do was point out that he's definitely up there in years but that he surrounds himself with the most competent statesmen in the world to advise him. Whereas trump surrounded himself with dozens of felons. With himself as the felon in chief

I am one who thought Trump had zero chance at winning the election until I watched last night.

So the logic is “Wow Trump looks way sharper than Biden, better make sure we keep Biden in office”?
