Not a machine gun. Unless they happen to have a gun that costs 10X more than their rent.

Well, it’s pretty easy to make a gun become a machine gun. At least depending on the platform of gun. But that looks like some type of AK. I’m pretty sure all you need to do to make most of those full auto is to drill out a pin

Performing the modification is illegal.

And although all machine guns are fully automatic, not all automatic weapons are machine guns. But yes, by law fully automatic guns are considered machine guns. But if you ask the army, they are not the same.

I don't know much about it, but I know I experienced first hand a full auto ak that was purchased legally and modified easily.

Open bolt semi autos are considered full auto because, according to the ATF, it is too easy to modify them into full auto. If the only modification needed to make the firearm full auto was a drill press, it would be illegal.

Welp, they're not. Do a quick Google search and you'll see it's pretty easy to do the modification. Super illegal and dumb to do, but you sure could.
