Being a man who’s not born into a wealthy family is a meh deal in general.

81

u/BRAX7ON 4d ago

The same holds true if you’re not born into a good-looking family…

34

u/funny__username__ 4d ago

What if your born ugly into a good looking family?

56

u/Imaginary_Election56 4d ago

Then the postman has some explaining to do

13

u/Magnetar_Haunt 3d ago

I mean, 2 pretties don’t necessarily fuse into a pretty.

If the parents both have specific good features, but the son got both sets of wonky features, that’s just a bad roll.

1

u/edebt 3d ago

Should throw away the character sheet and reroll if the DM allows it.

2

u/Magnetar_Haunt 3d ago

Sorry, you can only swap out your available cantrips, and only once a fort night.

12

u/Prestigious_Care3042 4d ago

Well then do like the Kardashians and get “just a little” work done without ending up entirely plastic.

15

u/Ms-Behaviour 3d ago

“ without ending up entirely plastic” so not like the Kardashians then 🤣

2

u/ComfortableWay2385 3d ago

And drop a porno

1

u/OedipussyReg 3d ago

Then we spend the rest of our lives questioning every single complement anyone gives us

1

u/Greatest-Uh-Oh 4d ago

Bastard!

3

u/BRAX7ON 4d ago

You know nothing Jon Snow

1

u/Greatest-Uh-Oh 3d ago

Sorry. I don't get it. Completely over my head.

24

u/Keats852 4d ago

As an ugly person, this hit quite hard.

17

u/mcnathan80 4d ago

Ugly and poor! Rise up!!

4

u/RepresentativeAide14 3d ago

ugly & poor people are the lowest in the lottery of life stakes

0

u/fingnumb 3d ago

I would put you 2 in your place, but this is the internet, and I can't show you how extravagantly rich and beautiful I am. Not without lying. And that takes effort. And it's the internet and I'm tired. Have a nice day.

2

u/Life-Improvised 3d ago

Poorglies unite!

2

u/mcnathan80 3d ago

I’m technically pug foorgly

2

u/PapaiPapuda 3d ago

I'm a pretty poor man. Sure the puss is great, but I'd still rather be rich and ugly, you still get the puss but you don't need to work and the law isn't for you

2

u/Bowood29 3d ago

But if you are rich and ugly it’s better than pretty and poor.

34

u/Dwarfcork 4d ago

Very very very true haha

70

u/AaronVsMusic 4d ago

Being anyone not born into a wealthy family is a meh deal, or worse.

12

u/crocozade 4d ago

Women and children are loved unconditionally. Men are disposable. Very common for women to “marry upwards”.

10

u/AaronVsMusic 4d ago edited 3d ago

Lmao ok. Stop listening to Jordan Peterson

Edit: or Tate, Crowder, Shapiro, etc. who all parrot Peterson’s bullshit.

17

u/RaptorSnackz 3d ago

This is actually true in some Latin American cultures. Men are told that their hopes, dreams, and emotional wellbeing are not as important as how much they can provide. We are told that we don’t need school, what we need is to work. There is a problem in Latin American culture with misogyny and machismo but honestly it’s not too much better for men either.

4

u/Consistently_Carpet 3d ago

And

Women are told that their hopes, dreams, and emotional wellbeing are not as important as how much many babies they can provide.

Which is a far cry from 'loved unconditionally'.

-2

u/MoarVespenegas 3d ago

Yes but at least men are allowed to hold hopes and dreams while generally women are expected to hope to be married and dream of being a mother.

2

u/Dogzylla 3d ago

Oh no I'll be taken care of without having to do back breaking manual labor :(

-2

u/starswtt 3d ago

Honestly I would put it as a problem of chauvinism and machismo (though not necessarily misogyny, even if they're all symptoms of the same patriarchy) not as an unrelated problem. A big reason for this is that women are seen as "weak" and in "need of protecting", which frankly leads to worse outcomes for a lot of people

6

u/crocozade 4d ago

Who?

-6

u/AaronVsMusic 4d ago edited 3d ago

Yeah, I don’t take bait from misogynist trolls who try to argue in bad faith.

Edit: pretending they’ve never heard of Jordan Peterson is low-effort trolling we’ve all seen before. That’s bad faith. As is arguing from a bigoted/misogynistic/chauvinistic point of view. If you see other groups as inferior to yourself, or hate other group, you can’t have a good faith fair debate.

Edit 2: if you’re going to pretend you haven’t heard of Peterson, don’t quote his ideologies. You can’t be a chauvinist/misogynist in 2024 and have never seen his clips. But feel free to reply below if you want a free report/block.

Edit 3: This includes Tate, Carson, Shapiro, Crowder, etc. who all parrot the same bullshit that’s not backed by science and actively harms women and non-whites.

18

u/bathingapeassgape 3d ago

Just because you disagree with someone’s point doesn’t mean they’re arguing in bad faith

6

u/JakeDC 3d ago

Yeah, don't take that person seriously. They are name calling and accusing of MiSoGyNy because they don't have real arguments. Also, nobody was making any arguments about inferiority or saying anyone was better than anyone else.

7

u/dietwater94 3d ago

I literally had to look up Jordan Peterson just now bc of your comment. Idk why you think EVERYONE would know who this guy is… clearly he’s important and gets some attention and has an audience but he’s FAR from a household name. I’m a 29 year old man and I had never heard of him until now. (Granted, I live in the US and he seems to be Canadian so idk if it’s just that YOU are Canadian so you think everyone knows him?)

3

u/basementfortress 3d ago

I won't pretend to have never heard of Jordan Peterson, but your comment about Jordan Peterson was just a low effort ad hominem attack.  It's pretty funny you got on your high horse complaining about a low effort post responding to your simple logical fallacy.

4

u/Begeesy_ 3d ago

The irony is that you are arguing in bad faith because you assume he must be lying and there no possibility he doesn’t know J Peterson. Jordan Peterson isn’t the only one who says that. Many have come to the same conclusion.

3

u/Cory123125 3d ago

Dude, you are seriously suffering from some "And hitler ate bread" right now.

0

u/OU7C4ST 3d ago

Bruh, I've heard of like Andrew Tate, but I've never heard of Jordan Peterson either. No idea who that is. (Early 30's American Male here)

0

u/Spydrmunki 3d ago

You arent missing anything. Stuffy moldy ass arrogant little prig who thinks he's gods gift, but actually is just a looser who makes an easy living on contraversy.... like the rest of them.

0

u/Hezth 3d ago

It's unheard of for you with women who marry up? Or you mean it's just as common for men to do it?

I'm sure there's a rich guy somewhere that would give you money for buttstuff or oral

Don't let your dreams be dreams

1

u/Ayn_Rand_Was_Right 4d ago

How do you expect my american self to compete with those small again boys?

8

u/sixtus_clegane119 3d ago

Sigh… yeah cuz that’s a great life and they love doing that.

How many of the poor women do you think experience that

-4

u/[deleted] 3d ago

1

u/sixtus_clegane119 3d ago

The less than one percent, which is possible for less than one percent of guys too.

It does happen

2

u/LordKyrionX 3d ago

Also, not less than 1 percent, over 2%

2

u/snowlynx133 3d ago

Are you talking about latin America specifically (because idk the social climate there)? Because women are certainly not "loved unconditionally" in most places

-3

u/notaredditreader 3d ago

Very patriarchal, indeed.

9

u/RewardCapable 4d ago

wtf are you talking about? How is it possible for a woman to do that and not a man? Using sex? Because that argument can definitely be made for men as well.

5

u/Cummy_owo 4d ago edited 4d ago

It can? Well, I'm all ears then. I want quick money lol.

0

u/RewardCapable 4d ago

You don’t think rich older men who like other men exist?

-1

u/Cummy_owo 4d ago

Nah, that's actually what you're saying. Don't know why a question upset you though 🤷‍♂️

5

u/RewardCapable 4d ago

Why would you think I’m upset? Because I pointed out misinformation?Edit: oh shit, you’re not use to being questioned about sweeping generalisations so you think I’m mad. That’s cray.

4

u/RewardCapable 4d ago

Does it make you angry when someone questions you? Like “how dare you, don’t you know who I am??”

0

u/Cummy_owo 3d ago edited 3d ago

Well you got flustered by my comment so pop off. Also, making generalizations? What? Lol okay really pop off, implying things I didn't hint at 🤣

1

u/RewardCapable 3d ago

Nah, you’re entertaining

-2

u/Cautious-Progress876 4d ago

A woman can charge $300+/ hr for sex easy. Men aren’t in high enough demand to make a career prostituting themselves in all but the most exceptional cases.

Edit: that said, it’s disgusting that anyone would consider that an “easy” way to make money. Most of the sex workers I know aren’t having a great time, nor are they having sex for money every day.

2

u/No-Vehicle4789 3d ago

That's a lot more than any average looking woman could charge.

3

u/RewardCapable 4d ago

They are in gay porn, you can make bank. Just gotta do anal.Edit: I seriously doubt you know many sec workers because not all of them have daddy issues and hate that line of work, also I mean for men. If they do anal in porn they make bank. Just fyi for all you fellas out there that are behind on child support.

-1

u/Cautious-Progress876 4d ago

No. I have friends who did that— you still make less than $1000 or so a shoot. And you aren’t even booked for more than one shoot every couple of weeks.

Men just aren’t in demand sex wise as much as women— just the nature of the market.

5

u/RewardCapable 4d ago

0

u/Cautious-Progress876 4d ago

Used to do criminal defense. Represented dozens of them.

3

u/RewardCapable 4d ago

Gay porn workers? Why are criminal defense lawyers in such high demand for them?

0

u/Beautiful-Swimmer339 3d ago

If you are willing to do that shit you can also just murder the judge that granted the child support.

Especially if you are American with easy access to guns.

5

u/whattfisthisshit 4d ago

What are you talking about??

2

u/Amazoncharli 4d ago

Tell me how? 🤔

3

u/31November 4d ago

r/foundtheincel

Lemme decode it for y’all: “Women have it easier. They just get distracted by wanting to be loved and the fear of rape.”

-10

u/RewardCapable 4d ago

Let’s be honest, anyone not born as a straight white cis males

1

u/AaronVsMusic 4d ago

100%. Poverty hurts everyone, but straight white cis men still have it easier.

2

u/NicodemusV 4d ago

I haven’t gotten my check for being a straight white cis male, when is my privilege going to kick in?

Bigot.

5

u/AaronVsMusic 4d ago

Your life would be worse if you weren’t a straight white man. I don’t debate misogynist trolls.

1

u/backofsilvergorilla 3d ago

The only clear sexism on this thread is coming from you, you psycho.

2

u/Dreamcastin8 4d ago

Still playing the oppression points game?

Edit: ahh the classic respond and block! Anyway, you keep enjoying persecution complex bingo. Where points win you oppression! (or more importantly, social media points). Who needs a nuanced understanding intersectionalism😂

1

u/AaronVsMusic 16h ago

You’re 3 days late and venting your insecurity into the same shit that all the other trolls said lmao truly pathetic

2

u/Neil_Ribsy 3d ago

Careful, pointing this gender based double standard automatically makes you an incel in current year.

4

u/hboisnotthebest 4d ago

Thank god someone said it. Sheesh.

1

u/alex-weej 3d ago

Definitely worth thinking about what the bigger problem is, here. It does seem like 5y is a bit steep, though.

0

u/Bowood29 3d ago

Being anyone not born in the 1% sucks.

2

u/HollowCondition 3d ago

I agree with this. But it is a spectrum.

-11

u/SmolObjective 4d ago

I'm commenting so I can check back later and see if anyone replies saying you have the right to control whether women get an abortion and commit rape.

6

u/carbogan 4d ago

That is not even true.

1

u/SmolObjective 4d ago

I know it's not true. But I usually see people reply this stuff on any comment that even remotely implies that being male is anything but comparable to being 1800s royalty.

7

u/ScwB00 4d ago

Well that came straight out of left field.

3

u/SmolObjective 4d ago

Not really, I genuinely was just leaving this comment for that but didn't wanna comment something else irrelevant, so I decided to just be honest.
