What? He literally said he'd only run one term to beat Trump and then let someone younger come in.

He is doing this for himself, and there is no other reason.

If you want to pity someone pitty a person working full time and unable to afford living.

I dont think he really has a choice, the DNC probably figured he would do better than other candidates, the incumbent president usually does quite well, and pressured him to run

Very possible. Incumbent do usually have that as an extra point for moderates and undecided.

I'm not a Biden fan by any stretch of the imagination, but as a moderate, he is more appealing than Trump. Trump is an extremist.

Iā€™m in the same place you are. I hate Trump and think Biden has no business in the White House.

I'm glad I'm not alone. But people are slowly starting to realize that the 2 party system is flawed. It can't be repaired because it's working exactly as intended. It needs to be scraped.

I don't think we should have any political parties.

I would love ranked choice voting. I think that would help

Yeah my wife is a fan of it.

Personally I think we should just let everyone run. Person with the most votes in that state win, person with the most electoral votes is president.

But it would take a lot of voting reform. Maily the minimum number of electoral votes to win, but again it's designed this way to prevent a 3rd or even 10th party.

Though it would make it a hell of a lot harder for our Oligarchs to know who to back. And that is a massive issue we just accept. Everyone talks about it so we don't ignore it we just accept it.

The biggest problem is that it takes an ungodly amount of money to run. Even for smaller local offices you need thousands and thousands to run a campaign. The only way to get that money is to be wealthy or make promises.

Oh yeah it's disgusting how much money goes into just getting elected
