I don’t understand this thought process. Okoro will probably get at the most 17.5 apy which is well worth what he brings to the team. For comparison, that is what Tristan Thompson got a decade ago. I would value a high effort wing that can defend any player on the court more than a high effort rebounding center. And also the dude is 23 and still developing. Match anything even around 20 apy and it’s worth it, especially when you consider the contract just given to OG

People lost their minds over that Tristan deal but if you aren’t in the lottery you pay to keep talent
