How much do you think writers make?...

These aren't producers, directors, CEOs ect. These are writers. Struggling to make rent and buy food writers.

Animators and animation writters don't make a ton of money. They get paid less than live action writers. Its very rare to see cartoonists make a ton of money. The rare exceptions are Matt Groening, Seth MacFarlane, and Charles Schultz.
