Xbox hasn't had an exclusive game nominated to the Game Awards for 10 years now. :Discussion: Discussion

Even if it didn't win, FH5 should have been nominated imo.

Psychonauts 2 was nominated last year, this is certainly a troll post and you guys fell for it.

Psychonauts 2 isn't an exclusive, this is what this post is about. He is right, blindly protecting xbox is kinda part of the problem, you can like something and criticize it.

I'm just trying to understand the problem. So the issue is that the games that microsoft does make and do get nominated for the game awards game of the year are available on other platforms besides xbox?

It was already in development and had contracts for other consoles before MS bought them. Like the game was crowdfunded ages ago, MS put more money into it but the game by all means would have existed regardless.

For me honestly I see no problem here, I like how Xbox doesn't focus on exclusives because more people get to enjoy their games (like me, I don't own an xbox or ps5)

But this post is talking about exclusives, that's all.

I wasn't referring the graph. It was my general opinion. FH5 wasn't nominated and it still count

FH did deserve a nomination, but also it won for best racing game so whatever. I'm generally somewhat unconvinced that a single "game of the year" title makes a ton of sense, and it's going to ultimately be lead by arbitrary decisions and more likely money spent on influencing the judges. Category specific awards make way more sense because different games try to do so many different things.

Especially because it isn’t decided on December 31st
