But like why? Opening the back of a series x is actually ridiculously easy

Because I have severe OCD and don’t even like touching my consoles.

Because I’m not handy and have never opened a console or computer before.

Because I don’t want to risk damaging anything.

Because I’ll trade it in for the mid-Gen refresh

Because it scares me

Because it’s a console, not a PC. Most console owners don’t do this.

If you have the tool. When I decided to try doing this last year (we live in an old historic home, two dogs, hadn’t cleaned it since release), watched the videos, looked at the articles, and quickly realized I’d have to buy a specific tool to get out the tiny screws in the back. Since I didn’t have what I needed, I just had to settle for some compressed air. Still got plenty of dust out.

I paid like £8 and I got 3 different screw sets, a screwdriver, a little duster and some other cool things
