Yep a lot of people bought the upgrade even though they have gamepass because it also included a few days early access

That was me.

I got to sit around at home with a day off from work (was it Labor Day?) and the only reason I pre-ordered the fancy version was because you could get access a day or two early.

They obviously knew what they were doing with the pricing tiers and release schedules. But whatever, it was the 1st new game I've bought in forever, and the Xbox I bought specifically for Starfield was the first console I've bought since a PS2 back in 2004.

Oh yeah nothing wrong with that, you got all of Labor Day weekend, it was worth it to me I had fun and I hadn’t been excited for a new game in a while.

Well I hope you look forward to paying that holiday tax for every game in the future once publishers catch wind that people are actually desperate enough to pay a stupid tax to have a game “early” for a holiday weekend.

I get it, but personally I almost never buy new games so I didn’t mind doing it this one time.

The words of someone unemployed who doesnt realize how valuable an extended weekend where you can just play is. It sucks that they figured it out, but the cats out of the bag now.
