That was me.

I got to sit around at home with a day off from work (was it Labor Day?) and the only reason I pre-ordered the fancy version was because you could get access a day or two early.

They obviously knew what they were doing with the pricing tiers and release schedules. But whatever, it was the 1st new game I've bought in forever, and the Xbox I bought specifically for Starfield was the first console I've bought since a PS2 back in 2004.

Oh yeah nothing wrong with that, you got all of Labor Day weekend, it was worth it to me I had fun and I hadn’t been excited for a new game in a while.

Well I hope you look forward to paying that holiday tax for every game in the future once publishers catch wind that people are actually desperate enough to pay a stupid tax to have a game “early” for a holiday weekend.

I get it, but personally I almost never buy new games so I didn’t mind doing it this one time.

The words of someone unemployed who doesnt realize how valuable an extended weekend where you can just play is. It sucks that they figured it out, but the cats out of the bag now.

i think it was 6 days early. i used the game as an excuse to upgrade my GPU and got that version for free. was disappointed with the game, but i'd be more upset if i spend $100 for only the game as opposed to $300 or so for my GPU (which i needed anyway).

also i still had fun with the game and played around 40 hours. i'm sure i'll pick it up again in the future.

Exactly. I went from not playing any games to playing this. Currently level 97 NG+10, and play on Very Hard for fun.

I'm sure people that hop from one brand new AAA-game to the next have higher expectations, but I think the game is fine.

I will be getting CP2077 & it's expansion eventually , so I hope that's a step up, as well.
