Todd McFarlane's Spawn, the Animated Series, has been available to HBO Max viewers since 2021.
McFarlane just announced the new paper series (great news!) still... I LOVE the animated rendition of the series, in grim noir, with Keith David behind the mask (the true and ONLY voice of Spawn--that is acceptable).

Despite the run from 1997-1999, the animated series (perhaps the character himself) has never had as much attention since the release of the Spawn movie (also tragically released in 1997... if they had staggered for attention... idk) as the Spawn franchise has as of late.

Now that many more know that Spawn is conceptually and artistically awesome, is there an active campaign to get someone to hire Korean studio to pump out the goods?
McFarlane could easily have control of such an enterprise... since that's been his reported beef with "Hollywood."
Is it some convoluted licensing that is in the way? It doesn't look like it.

If we did it for Futurama (resurrection via fan pressure)... we can do it for Spawn.
How did fans do it then? Can we do it now? How?

Picked them up w a stack of gen13 and a couple SM from a local guy for $25. Found deadpool and Hugh at target as they loaded them on the shelves. Win

I had read through all of Spawn years ago when the series only went past 200 issues. Decided to re-read it again, using Blake Whitlow's reading order to hit all the crossovers; comparing crossovers released at similar times as the main series, the main series really just reads so childish, despite all the adult themes.

Sam & Twitch has been amazing (although the hand-waving reveal for the first arc felt weak), Curse of the Spawn has been pretty good with it's small arcs fleshing out the lore, and Angela was a fun diversion. Other than that I guess what I'm really asking is...does the main series get better? Are there any specific mini series I should really be looking forward to?

Was bored so decided to have a lil photo shoot

Base fig: Mcfarlane Batman Dark Knights of Steel.

Modification on shoulders, sculpted on knees, chest and neck, 3d heads painted with neutral and furious expressions, customized Mcfarlane Escanor axe, cape provided by @maxbird986 but somewhat modified for this figure, totally repainted among other final details.

Does anyone have a Monolith figure they're looking to sell? I really like the figure but from all the reviews I've seen, I don't think it's worth the high price.

I notice that every superhero orgin story they're all innocent, but not Spawn. Al Simmons is the only hero that kills people on his backstory. Even Bruce Wayne didn't kill anyone before he became Batman. He's also a superhero that looks like a supervillian.
