Knick fans we need stop the crying
We ihart oh well. You dudes that are crying about a center in when we signed him nobody wanted and even thought he be this good and only time will tell if his success will continue because different team different system and most importantly no Thibs. This deserves a lot of credit he's made a lot of centers better. So I trust Thibs and Rose let them get us out new center. We locked in 2 players in the most valuable position in the league in a wing and y'all crying bout the least valued position in league. So stop the stupid Randle trade talk and post because Randle has proven to us for last 3 to 4 years and came when nobody wanted to ihart showed a 8 month stretch that's all.

Do you believe Julius’s role will be minimize with the addition of Mikal or you think he will flourish with better players around him?
It seems like certain fans wants to minimize Julius and put him in a box as if he will be the reason this team doesn’t succeed. This question is just for the sake of conversation.

Grimes on the Mavs
Luka is my favorite non Knick, so I watched a good amount of Mavs regular season and playoff games this year.
I was sad when we traded Grimes but he has a much better chance of shining in Dallas than Detroit. With the way they run their offense through Luka, if he can continue to develop into a good 3 and D player he will have a valuable role in the offense.
And now that they signed Klay Thompson I think he’s the perfect Vet for Grimes to sit behind and learn from. I’ll be rooting for him next year and hopefully great things coming with his new opportunity.

Every Center in the East is Injury Prone
Losing iHart stinks but let’s not all lose our minds. People are down on Mitch because of his injury history but the thing is, EVERY center in the east is injury prone.
Over the last 3 years, here’s how many games each center has missed:
Porzingis : 73 games/ will start next year injured
Myles Turner: 65 games
Embiid: 73 games/ has no meniscus left
Brook Lopez: 76 games
Wendell Carter: 72 games
Mitchell Robinson: 84 games
Every single center gets hurt. It’s just part of basketball now. Good teams learn how to deal with with these injuries. It’s time to trust Leon to figure out the backup center position whether that’s precious with a full off-season to work under thibs or an underrated move none of us see coming.

Maybe A Stretch...Bigs from the G-League worth considering?
Isaiah Hartenstein averaged 25-15-4 for the Rio Grande Vipers before being signed by the Nuggets. Ironically, he was cut in the previous offseason by the Houston Rockets on the heels of winning the G-League Finals MVP. Though he only played in 46 games that season at 12 mpg, his per-36 numbers were an impressive 15-12-3-2.5.
We know how instrumental IHart was to our team to the very end, but are we not paying enough attention to where it all began for him? Let's look at some GLeague options that may be able to fit in as a 3rd big with the potential to emerge into a rotation player:
Note: I'm focusing mainly on current 2-way guys or G-League players, not players under guaranteed contracts.
Olivier Sarr - 25 years old: 7'0, 237 lbs
G-League Stats: 14 ppg 13.3 rpg 2.2 bpg | Splits: 54/33/78
If that last name sounds familiar, it should. He's the older brother of that one guy who was drafted 2nd in the NBA Draft this year. He was a 2-way player for OKC and in 25 GLeague games, he was second in rebounds per game. He's mobile, a decent athlete, and has good form on his shot showing the ability to knock down 3s.
Trey Jemison - 24 years old - 6'10", 260 lbs
G-League Stats: 10.9 ppg 12.0 ppg .9 bpg | Splits: 63/0/77
If you've seen any of his highlights, he looks like Dwight Howard in the G-League. He's huge and dunks like he's trying to break the basket. You may have heard of him as he played 25 games in the NBA last year for Memphis, including against us. He's very active inside, but shows a soft touch with the ability to hit hook shots with either hand, though you hold your breath when heh shoots them. He's a good athlete, strong, and plays with a high motor, but has poor hands. Kind of reminds me of Biyombo when I see him.
Moussa Diabate - 22 years old - 6'10", 217 lbs
G-League Stats: - 15.5 ppg, 10.2 ppg 2.2 apg 2 bpg | Splits: 57/20/56
His 7'3 wingspan allows him to stuff the stat sheet in the G-League. He's a little thin to be a full-time center, but makes up for it with his length as his 7'3 wingspan and high-end athleticism allow him to stuff the statsheet. He shows some interesting flashes of ballhandling in the open court and finesse finishes around the basket.
Colin Castleton - 24 years oold - 6'10 250 lbs
G-League Stats: 14.1 ppg 9.8 rpg 2.8 apg 1.6 bpg | Splits: 53/100/74.3 (1 total 3PA)
Castleton pulled an Austin Reaves and passed up being drafted to be a UDFA and sign with the Lakers. He's not athletic at all but has a 7'3 wingspan to help contest shots. He's a pretty skilled offensive player. South Bay used him a lot out of the high post, letting him run DHOs or find cutters like we did with Hartenstein. Oddly, he doesn't have much desire or ability to shoot outside the paint, limiting his potential. However, he did say he was working all offseason on his 3 point shot.
Micah Potter - 26 years old - 6'9 248 lbs
G-League Stats: 15.5 PPG 9.1 RPG 2.9 APG 1.8 BPG | Splits: 51/37/74.5
Potter has a silky stroke and is a confident catch and shoot player who stretches the defense. Not a high end athlete but he moves his feet pretty well and has the length to recover and block shots. He's able to beat mismatches down low and is a well-rounded offensive player.
In my opinion, the order of these guys would be Sarr-Potter-Jemison-Castleton-Diabate.
Do y'all have strong feelings about any of these guys or Is there anyone else on y'all's radar?

Daniel Theis perfect opportunity here?
He still looking for a team and he is someone who loves to collect the jerseys of his teammates lol. Y'all got some great culture here.
With IHart gone and Mitch as injury prone as he is, he might get some solid minutes here. Moreover, he can be the german mentor for ariel hukporti too.
Kinda perfect situation for him tbh

The upside of guys like Mo Bamba and James Wiseman getting picked up
Maybe coping a little bit, but I think that could mean Precious is working out a deal with us? Hard to imagine if he's available he's not already gone. I'd love to have him back.

Knicks did draft a center in Ariel Hukporti but..
Off the bat he’s a rookie of course so he may or may not be ready to contribute. Reading his player profile? He’s very similar to a young Mitch meaning he’s a great athlete, lob threat, shot blocker, rim protector and great rebounder on both the offensive and defensive glass. HOWEVER, he’s foul prone, limited offensively, high motor but sometimes gets out of control which leads to offensive fouls, no passing game and isn’t comfortable in the post.
Best case scenario is Mitch staying healthy as we know that’s the main issue with him OR trade him for somebody else.
