[Windhorst] OG Anunoby is not ‘thrilled’ with the Knicks’ current offer and will test the market: “Let’s keep an eye on that. Most people believe he will stay with New York, but there have been indications he may want to test the market, because he’s not thrilled with what the Knicks are offering.”

Can’t trust anyone during negotiation season. If we’re hearing something it’s only because it’s advantageous for one side to put it out there.

This isn’t reporting, it’s repeating.

And it's not like Leon Rose's son would put this shit out there to clown on his own father. Shit like this would want to be pushed out there from teams like Philly who want the public narrative to be chaotic.

Also possibly smokescreen to avoid any tampering accusations with it being Leon’s son

..and if your agent is the son of the boss you’re negotiating against.. in order to show your client you don’t have a conflict of interest you need to appear to be negotiating stronger.

It’s all a game, the agent is human has to show his client it’s a fair process more so in these situations.

Just want to correct what ive been seeing. Leon's son is not OGs agent. He is affiliated with the team that represents OG, but his son is not OGs main point of contact.

Bingo? You are allowed to negotiate with your own teams FAs immediately after the finals conclude...

You’re not allowed to have already come to an “agreement” after a trade is made in January.

Everyone thinks this father and son relationship will benefit the Knicks and give them a discount, in reality it's more likely to benefit OG. The only advantage we have is transparency to make the negotiation easier. This is his son's career at stake, why wouldn't Leon want to get his son paid. I believe both sides have an agreement how this will play out. Leon probably told OG to go get himself a better offer and we'll match it
