I’m Simon Racioppa, showrunner for the Invincible series on Prime Video. AMA! AMA

Hey Reddit, happy Invincible Friday. Heard you wanted to chat about the show, so I’m here to answer as many questions as I can without spoiling where all of this is going. I wrote Episode 7, so this is a particularly special week for me, and have enjoyed reading all of your reactions so far.

And here’s the Invincible trailer: https://youtu.be/-bfAVpuko5o

Let’s do this!

EDIT: Thanks everyone! Your support makes all the hard work over the last few years worthwhile – for me, and everyone else who worked on Season one of Invincible during a very strange and difficult last year. Hope to be back here sometime soon!

Can you confirm that Brit won't be making an appearance moving forward?

that would be a problem since he's a big part of the comics later on. i can live without savage dragon though

also imagine how good invincible war would be without the pages and pages of exposition dialogue

Why wouldn’t Brit be appearing? Am I out of the loop on something?

If he appears it would make him fall under the "Invincible" umbrella and Amazon would own his rights. Kirkman may want to use him in something else down the line or he may have his own show at a different network later. Probably just wants to keep his options open with his main characters that hes put a lot of work into.

I don't super mind if we dont get Brit, Tech Jacket, etc. (even though I love these characters) because we will probably get new rad original characters in their place. Hopefully we still get people from Invincible Universe and Guarding the Globe though since those are much more Invincible centric.

Or better yet, hopefully Brit, Tech Jacket, etc get their own Amazon series/mini-series and they cross over like an Invincible cinematic universe.

I think there might be some licensing issues. Like how Science Dog was changed to Seance Dog.

Oh damn really, that would be a real shame, I love that curmudgeonly old bastard.
