True First appearance? DISCUSSION

Is savage dragon 102 the true first appearance in comics through the promo? Or is there an earlier instance of the character?

The first appearance of Invincible is Invincible #1. Preview pages don’t count, despite what collectors say. Kirkman doesn’t count it and you shouldn’t either

I more mean in the literal sense of: is this the first time the character was in a comic book. I understand it’s just a preview
