I think you're right, they didn't give an exact date unfortunately, but said it'll be a lot quicker than the time gap between Seasons 1 and 2.

Holy shit, can you imagine if THIS episode was the reason they delayed the second half?

They had a hitch in S3 production and decided to delay this episode so their little Easter egg joke was still legit.

I'm going to call this #invinciblegate

God, and the amount of people bitching under the trailer about it not all being released together and I LITERALLY SAID TO THEM "animation takes time, would you rather they overwork their animators" makes this episode a thousand times funnier to me!!

The animation was done before the break though, the gap was an artistic meta choice by the show runner to give us a break after the mid-season climax (or so he says)

The more I think about it, the more I'm actually convinced this meta joke COULD have been a contributing factor.

Also they made some promises about "the production gap between S2/3 not being as large as S1/2" before S2 even started airing. Looks like they managed to buy themselves an extra 5 months with a mid-season break if you ask me.

Eh, if they didn't delay it they'd have to spend more time working on season 3 and people would be complaining about that, damned if you do, damned if you don't haha

I think it might be so the next season seems less far off
