I'm gonna say it.

If keeping Mark and Amber going was necessary for that Anissa scene, it was worth it. Jesus fuck that was tense. And the falling action afterwards with them just trying to figure out where to go from there, textbook storytelling.

It was very well done. It just felt like the natural but sadly inevitable conclusion to all the rising problems of their relationship.

I mean, some relationships, when everything works, it really works, and you couldn't be happier.

But eventually, you just get tired of squinting.
