Which says there's a huge gap between Mark and Allen. When is Mark's zenkai boost happening? He gets his teeth kicked in like every three episodes.

Marks power boost is like a natural body builder, the beating slowly strengthen up over time but it’s slow. Allen is like the bodybuilder who took every steroid at once.

actually i think he's basically a good guy cyclops version of Doomsday from dc.

whenever doomsday dies he adapts and comes back stronger and stronger. same goes for allen.

That’s what I was kind of getting at. I meant to say in terms of power growth speed, Allen is a lot faster than Mark. Allen dies once and gets jacked up enough to handle viltrumites. Marks power growth comes from taking a beating but it’s a lot more slower considering he gets his shit kicked in every episode.

Allen gets stronger from near-death experiences

Mark/Viltrumites get stronger through training and age, not from getting fucked up.

When was it established that mark gets zenkai boosts?

Allen also had an unusual recovery this most recent time. I wouldn't be surprised if he's got some Viltrumite spliced into him.

Pretty much every character in Invincible is a copy of another. Allen is a copy of Beta Ray Bill (alien turned into a superhero in order to protect the others of their race) and Doomsday (if he dies, he comes back strong enough to beat the thing that killed him).

That doesn't really address what I said though? The Viltrumite Optimus Prime explicitly said he did something risky to Allen and we don't know if it was a one time boost or if he'll now always get a huge boost when he's recovers from near death.

He didn’t do anything risky except allow for his reactive adaptation abilities to either kick or not. The one youve been replying to hit it dead on. He’s Kirkman’s Doomsday. But as a protagonist.

Were you paying attention?

“Forgive me Allen”

“I left you to fend for yourself”

“You would either die, or recover stronger than before”

“I’m sorry I gambled with your life”

He literally says that what he did was a risk because he wasn’t certain that Allen would recover. He says it like 3 times.

You literally said he did something to Allen. He did the exact opposite. Nothing.

Okay first it wasn’t my comment.

Two yes he did, he turned off his life support, that is doing something.

Three, that’s a ridiculous nitpick to make on the original comment
