I like how Nolan wrote the books like they were the most exciting things in the universe but then they didn't sell well

of course the things that could kill him would be the things HE thought were exciting and cool haha. And hey, it turns out years later they're blueprints to defeat viltrumites. I wonder if he intended that from the start or if its just happy coincidence.

Maybe not rebel, but Viltrumite culture would absolutely encourage planning to fight your peers.
