to be fair, a lot of the characters who do that in slashers actually win/survive. Final Girl >>> King Lizard.

I mean, a lot of antiheroes are basically that. Sometimes it's more dark and gorey, other times it's just lame power fantasy.

Yeah, the whole time I was thinking, how fucking pathetic, waiting for your friends to die out to get the final blow, just to still lose to a half-dead man with one arm.

to be fair missing the hand was actually to Rex’s benefit because he was able to use the fractured bone as a shank
