Haven't read the comics, but I can't help but feel frustrated seing how Eve utilizes her powers on the story after watching her origins on the special episodes

Like, bro??? She can change the molecular structure of ANYTHING, and her fighting style is "pew pew lasers" (not exactly, but you get my point)

Yeah. In her first fight with death cannon she turns his gun into something else, this time she throws some normal rocks and lasers at him.

I agree and hope they let her be more creative but also I think the implication was that she was just using the fight as a personal way to let off steam and not actually trying to treat it seriously and end it as soon as possible until she realized just how much people really were in danger.

While I agree with you, the energy attacks seem to be how she fights in general now, based on season 1.

But she’s been super uncreative for all of season 1 & 2, the special episode is the only one that hammers in that she can warp matter and not just create pink shields

That’s really fair. I don’t blame them for not focusing on it but is too bad that she has this peer that you could be endlessly creative with and it just doesn’t come up much.

Yeah I love the special episode but it makes her seem very thinly written in the main show. I would’ve never guessed she was so strong or had such a complex backstory. Like, maybe she’s holding back now because she was scared by how much power she had in the climax? But that feels like a bit of a cop out

Tbf, I think a lot of that was because she was "playing with her food". She had a shitty day, warned him about it, he ignored and continued, therefore she uses him as a way to take out her frustrations from the shitty day.

Not a healthy way at all, but I think that's why she was not doing much special; she just wanted to toss him around and hurt him in the easiest way possible. I feel like the way she quickly dispatched him once she took him seriously is also decent evidence of this.

It seemed like she was using him to vent her frustrations and wasn't focused on taking him down. She only got serious when those people were endangered and then it ended real quick. Its more her being human and less forgetting how her powers work.

While I still like S2, I do feel the power scaling and inconsistencies and fighting decisions make less sense than S1. Also feels more rushed.

She could’ve just changed that guy’s laser into spaghetti or something
