I hate that this happened & hated that she didn't get consequences for it. However, I would understand why they need to keep this in the show, even if I hate that this happened. This is a huge issue for men to go through, & I hate that this happens. I just wish she would get consequences for this.

Th point is kinds thag she had no consequences, thats the message. I mean, she atleast kinda had a redemption arc and seemed to understand how shitty is was later in the series, and tried to have mark have some sort of relationship with their child.

I mean, omniman kinda murdered like a lot of people, and people rarely talk about him not getting what he "deserves" even if it's objectively worse than what she did.

One I do think Omni Man was let off a bit too easy, but to be fair, we actually see him going for redemption and trying to be better, realizing how much he loves Debbie. Here, the development was offscreen and then she comes back apologetic and we're supposed to just kind of accept that she changed and it's really weird that Mark is supposed to just be ok with the kid he was forced into.

I think we can add the reanimen guy to the offscreen development characters too

The only cool part of the whole Marky situation to me was seeing that even into Markys adulthood Mark was struggling with connecting with him just because of how he came to be and how Mark is still going through tough challenges even as he grows older

I mean, literally, all the viltumites were mass murderers and their redemption development happened off-screen, but people are more harsh oh her because she wronged a main character, ignoring the genocide each if them did before the series.

Again I do think the other viltrumites got off easy, but one, they had all been commanded to live normally and mate with humans on Earth and instead she decided to go after Mark, as far as we see the others just find partners to be with despite their hostile nature, without forcing themselves on them, even she eventually does. But also, yeah if you're presenting a character to have major trauma over an event then yeah you better show said character who gave them trauma actually get redemption and not just offscreen it

My only question to you is what should be the consequences for both? Because these are viltrumites and don’t abide by human standards.

In the same way we can hunt and do whatever we want to animals, which we consider beneath us, how should the viltrumites be dealt with for their actions towards humans? (And this is just a philosophical question about morality and perspective. Because viltrumites are NOT humans)

Omni Man actually does go through a lot of punishment for what he did. At the end of the day, she is a rapist who did what she did with no regrets. She doesn't deserve a redemption arc

Iirc she did regret what she did, though later in the story.

And no, Omniman didn't face even a percentage of what a normal person would go through murdering an innocent person, and he murdered hundreds and got away with it, got his wife and son back, and was the king of an entire race.

So, omniman does something bad to thousands. Murdering hundreds and feels bad about it and fights against his evil race and gets redemption some other girl rapes one dude and does that exact same thing to redeem herself and it's suddenly way more horrible?

The only difference is that hers didn't get as much screen time.
