The most unbelievable part of this show isn't the superheroes, it's the fact that 2 movie tickets only cost 10 dollars.

Maybe they got kids' tickets lol, they tend to be cheaper.

Maybe that's why Monster Girl is refusing to solve this by showing the ticket guy her ID. Didn't want to lose her precious children's discount, huh?

She had to pay an additional $10 to the fake mom too so I guess that the discount is pretty great.

Does she have an ID? I feel like you couldn't explain that to the DMV without giving away your superhero identity.

There are real life medical conditions that make adults look like children. They usually don't have trouble getting an ID. As long as you have the correct documentation, the DMV doesn't care what you look like.

Yeah I'm not sure about the DMV as I'm not American

But usually government bodies don't refuse to give you identification based on how young you look.

Usually it's the current year minus the year you're born.

Not "Eh they look about 17 let's give them a driver's license"

Idk, though. Like, if a ten year old showed up with their grand mom’s birth certificate and social security card would they really go for it? There’s not really any checks against it, but surely they wouldn’t just say “yeah, this person looks 62, everything checks out here.”

Not if the government pulled some strings for her.

I wouldn't be surprised if Monster Girl did actually use her id at some point, but got sick of people giving her shit every time she tried to buy something. Kinda like when you just turn 21 and try to buy alcohol the nosy cashier lady will give you crap like "is this really you???".

Well there's also the fact that she's pretty apparently on a date with a guy who looks like 15 at the uppermost who has no ID while if this comic accurate she's closer to thirty. So, into to the fire with that strategy.

My local AMC theater which is maybe a low mid tier theater is still $5.99 for kids so it would have to be a matinee to be $4.49 which means it would have to be an earlier showing than 4:00PM. Wasn’t it dark outside already in that scene? Could be a different discount based on the day of the week they went or something.

Yeah but not 5 bucks a pop cheap. At least not in Alabama and definitely not in Washington State in America at least
