"white savior"

You mean when she helped starving people in Africa? I don't get people who complained about that. Would it have been better if she just let them starve because "oh no it looks so bad that I a white person are helping this starving black people"

I say this as someone who's half black. People who complained about that are silly.

ok, as someone who’s fully black i didn’t like the storyline, it fits into the exact definition of a white savior to me. we don’t have to agree on that either

But I don't get it. Its somehow "better" that Eve ISN'T helping starving people in Africa?

All because of her race?

Like "I would TOTALLY help those impoverished people in insert country here but I don't share their skin color so I don't think that would reflect too well on me/it might bother some people."

"i think we are both aware that that’s not what i’m saying here "

Not really? I'm genuinely trying to understand your perspective, because I don't get it.

Feels like they were being a sealion or just willfully obtuse.
