On the bright side, it’s nice to see Debbie not pull the “oh, why did you make Nolan leave” shit on Mark (though she apologizes for it), and I think they will introduce Debbie’s boyfriend earlier.

I would LOVE to see it end with Debbie not forgiving Nolan, but moving on as a result.

That still might happen, she's just starting her grieving process here and alcoholism.

Agreed though, never sat right with me how easily she forgave Nolan in the comics. He absolutely shattered her heart and she deserves better than that even if Nolan improves on himself.

Like I love Omniman but he's a genocidal maniac and has killed so many innocent people. I can't help but repeat, Debbie deserves better than him.

I think it would be a disservice having her forgive him in the show. I think we have progressed as a society enough to recognize the way it was written in the comics was pretty whack.

kirkman mentioned treating the show as his chance to write invincible the way he would if he had a chance to do it over again knowing how it all turns out, im guessing that if they do go the route of debbie ending up back with nolan, considering the effort they put into making him more brutal and explicitly evil, his redemption and regaining his relationship with debbie will require a proportional update. i expect he’ll have a longer and grander arc to prove himself than he did in the comics which was basically just showing back up with a new kid and apologizing.

"Hey, here's my love child I just made with my alien wife. Take care of him while I go deal with stuff"

Debbie - "oKaY, sIr!! 😍"

I know its not quite what happened but pretty much.

Eh not at all tbh, Debbie decided to take care of Oliver of her own accord because Mark brought it back. Nolan didn't really have any kind of involvement.
