With episode 1 doing the ENTIRE first angstrom story from issues 16-24, I was reminded how episode 6 of last season also did the entire Reanimen arc in one. With this in mind, here’s my predictions for the rest of season 2:

Episode 2 (In about 6 hours I lose my virginity to a fish) Atlantis arc/Midnight City and Darkwing 2, as well as some Doc Seismic and Lizard League stuff. Shapesmith meets the Guardians. Also shows more of Atom Eve since they’re definitely trying to set up their relationship. As well as more attention on Bulletproof and Immortal… and Kate…

Episode 3 (this missive this machination): Basically a straightforward adaptation of Issue 23, the Allen the Alien issue with the Coalition of Planets and the other Viltrumites. Maybe to add more theyll put Thaedus in a bigger spotlight, show more of galactic society/politics, and add Battle Beast into the mix.

Episode 4 (it’s been a while): The whole Thraxa arc can be done in this episode. Mark reunites with his dad, fights the other Viltrumites, brings home Oliver. Amber is stressed bc he keeps leaving to go to space and stuff. Cecil is pissed that Mark disobeys him by going go space.

Episode 5 (I paid them to stick near the house): Debbie raises Oliver…honestly idk what else should happen here. Mauler twins resurface? Maybe on earth, Mark has another run-in with Titan, and maybe Mister Liu. The incoming mars attack and maybe even the lizard league stuff could be teased… Oh I got it, the Africa visit with Eve and Amber.

Episode 6 (this isn’t happening): Mars attacks/Lizard League arc. They learn the Martians are coming to earth. Shapesmith reveals his origin. Mark and Eve kiss! Most of the Guardians stop the mars attack… but the Lizard League kill Shrinking Rae, seemingly kill Kate, and critically injure Rex before he explodes like all of them. Amber and Mark break up. Immortal temporarily retires. Cecil’s in dire straits, and getting desperate/more erratic. And at the end, Mark visits Art and says his dad had told him on Thraxa to “read his books”. Mark learns that there are ways to defeat Viltrumites.

Episode 7 (i thought you were stronger): Eve and Mark can’t decide whether to date or not, he still feels weird about Amber. Also… THE ANGSTROM EPISODE. Fight across dimensions… and “I thought you were stronger.” Meanwhile all the heroes are kidnapped by Doc Seismic, and Cecil sends out Darkwing 2 and the Reanimen to save them. He is also frazzled by Invincible killing someone.

Episode 8 (that makes you my enemy): Nolan tries to escape prison and fails… and realizes he misses his wife. Maybe more Battle Beast and Coalition of Planets/Allen? Rex gives Eve surprisingly good advice about Mark and they decided to date. And most importantly… the Cecil fight.

Essentially, season 2 adapts issues 15-50, but skips the plots of issues 43-47. Issues 14, 16, 24, and 42 were covered in todays episode, and issues 1-13, 18-20 and 36-37 were covered in season 1.

Saved for Season 3: Anissa, probably in the first episode. Allen returning to Earth and then getting imprisoned. Debbie dating Paul. Fightmaster and Drop Kick. Dupli-Kate’s and Immortal’s returns/Multi-Paul. Oliver becoming a young hero. Return of the Flaxans, even though they were teased in the season 1 finale.

EDIT: adjusted after episode 2

I know it's impossible but I would have loved to see Invincible War. I'm just not sure the Cecil fight is big enough to end the season on.

Watch episode 2 and tell me they aren’t setting up the Cecil fight as the finale. With angstrom at episode 7.

Yeah they definitely are. Reread that part of the comics again and it's definetely more interesting than I gave it credit for. And seeing how they will develop it even more on screen,I'm sure it will be a banger.
