The MAXX commission I did! 11x17 mixed media on Bristol board (alcohol markers, airbrush with watercolors, India ink and Gouache). I remember finding early issues of MAXX published by Image when I was young. So this was a treat! Fan-Made

Thank you!! He’s definitely a character that is weird to draw but fun to explore with!

Nice work, OP!

Hopefully some badass original art will get more upvotes than the endless sea of "shelfies" we get around here.

Thank you! I try to post any image related art I do here haha. It is nice to see Original art on this subreddit when it comes! So I try to do my fair share

This wasn't just a commission either guys and gals. Kevin did this to help out Maxx co-creator William Messner-Loebs for a benefit I'm running. He absolutely went WAY above and beyond on this and I can not recommend checking out his book Space Knights and or pick up a commission enough. Truly a pleasure to deal with and an insanely talented guy!

I legit couldn't have asked for a better piece and least I can do is talk you up and share my experiences with you as a small thanks. We're lucky to have you involved!

Amazing!! What is the rough ballpark for commission like this

This was a special piece he did for me for a benefit for Maxx co-creator William Messner-Loebs but he has commission rates up on his IG and Facebook pages, I don't know if he's offering color on pieces this big but he has 9x12 for 120 and 11x17 insanity pieces for 200 both black and white right now. Was a pleasure to deal with and insanely accommodating. Highly recommend picking up a piece from Kevin!

Oh no, is he unwell?

I loved watching The Maxx on TV. Not sure I understood it at the time but I enjoyed it. I'd be happy to sling a few dollars over if he needs help.

For something like this it would be 300! I do 200 for my regular B&W 11x17s and I have smaller and affordable options as well
