My Boyfriend bet me $500 that I couldn’t beat Elden ring in 6 months with little to no video game experience. Humor

Post image

The rules of the bet:

  1. No magic
  2. Only Melee
  3. No farming for runes
  4. Have to beat the entire game by June, 6th, 2024

I am currently on the last boss of the game with 89 hours played. I hope the last boss doesn’t take me 5 months. 😂

If you can beat Alecto with melee to get Tiche, you're capable enough to beat essentially anything that's left.

I've had honestly far more trouble with Alecto than with Radagon.

Man Alecto was so hard.

I always have to cheese this boss if I’m doing melee.

I didn’t know you could cheese her.

Yeah there’s a rock nearby that’s on the edge of the cliff. She can’t fall off but you can get her stuck up against the edge of the cliff where she’s in between an invisible wall and a part of the rock. You then stand in front of her and spam her with R1s until she dies.

I guess I can be extra proud of my victory then.

I did the same thing unintentionally... over and over. I kept letting her go and of course i wasnt beating her if i did that. So then i'd try again and she'd get stuck again. That fight was fun though. Thats one of the few fights i didnt mind dying repeatedly. I was getting better and close to killing her legit but she got stuck for like the 5th time and i just said "screw it" and finished her off there.

You can also pick carefully when to hit her. Bait certain attacks that leave her vulnerable (e.g. the stab from above), and run from the rest so she doesn't catch you off guard.

I fought with a visage shield and bloody helice using a block and poke strategy.

My version of cheese is ragdolling her. Upward stamp ftw

The only way I could beat her is by doing melee because I was a faith build built mainly toward incantation use and bleed build up which is useless against him.... I just pulled out duel knights greatswords with cold build up and went for the stagger. She's one of the only bosses that made me try that's for sure

I found faith to be the easiest against her because Blasphemous Blade makes short work of her.

Idk about that she Flys around alot I had the worst time my first few tries using that plus it doesn't do that much damage to her in my opinion. So maybe if you punished her openings and were more patient but I'm personally too impatient for that so my play style is focused on finishing a boss as fast as possible and only backing off attacks to heal so I might Dodge around alot if I'm worried about health but I don't really do it super strategically
