My apologies and I’m sure I’ll get downvoted for this… but was this a Great Lakes ship or ocean going? Or, to not get crapped on further… did it happen in an ocean or on one of the Great Lakes? I know the GL can be extremely dangerous and unforgiving.

I was waiting for a Gordon Lightfoot lyric lol. Absolutely love him. Had the pleasure of seeing him 3 times and have a lot of his vinyl records.
