My wife sadly learned how to mask roughly around 6-7 years old because she definitely was different compared the rest of her family.

Neurodivergent women can mask more efficiently than men because we’re socialized to be people pleasers. On the other hand, men are not taught to express emotions outside of anger, so they’ll often lash out in order to feel heard.

Yup. I have learned a lot due to our 3 kids having autism. Women and especially women of color have it so rough in this department.
