REHEATED PASTA PART 1: The Legacy of Jeff Woods 2000s

This is actually mad terrifying. Also could you imagine being his cell mate and seeing his face everyday, crazy stuff.

103
u/TheAndyTerror 11d ago
I'm sure he wouldn't be sent to prision but rather a psych ward under isolation.
57
u/TransFemGothBabe 11d ago
thanks! and yeah he got into conflicts with cell mates a lot due to his appearance

u/Hot_Rod2023 11d ago

u/SlimmyShammy 11d ago
Do people think that lol everyone I knew who watched Death Note thought L was hot

I like the idea of the realistic creepypasta, where these aren't invincible killers but just part of a resurgence of serial killers throughout the mid-to-late 2000s and early 2010s. Taking out the supernatural aspects of each famous creepypasta, and putting a more realistic spin on things.
You can make Slender Man not an actual entity but the crazed ramblings of a death cult or a group of people who took too much LSD.
107
u/TransFemGothBabe 11d ago
yeah it’s a really fun idea! definitely thinking about making slenderman either an old cryptid, a serial killer who was never found with a lot of fantastical folklore around him, or a figure for some kind of cult

u/Waste_Crab_3926 11d ago edited 11d ago
Carl Mann - an American serial killer active from 1990 to 2012, better known as "Slender Man" due to his lean physique and imposing height of 7'3". Mann would target mostly isolated hikers throughout the contiguous United States, chiefly in Montana, Nebraska, Oregon, and Washington. He was quickly mythologized by his surviving victims into a vaguely human cryptid due to his unusual height, jet black clothing, and the tendency to cover his face with a blank white mask.

It could be all three, an ancient serial killer in Europe which later became the basis for a “cryptid” (not really one since cryptids are explicitly undiscovered animals but you know what I mean) due to years of embellished, exaggerated retellings of his escapades.
Years later, he’d become a figure in occult circles and people would start killing in his name trying to “summon” him or smth leading to the rumor they were being controlled by Slenderman as “proxies”.

u/OnionsAndWaffles Big Germany Moment 11d ago
Making Slenderman an old Bigfoot type cryptid is way more interesting imo

u/Fried-Pickles857 11d ago
Just curious but have you thought about what you might do with Ben Drowned? That story is a bit different because (SPOILERS) there are two characters that go by Ben. One is the Ben that is trapped as the Link statue, and the other is an AI or evil spirit of sorts that goes by acronym that spells out "B.E.N.". Either way, I'm excited to see what you'll make next.
10
u/TransFemGothBabe 11d ago
ben is one of my favorite creepypastas and id love to do one of these semi realistic alt-history takes on it but. idk when the original source material is actually good i struggle to think about what i can do differently lol

u/TheDireRedwolf 9d ago
I think having him be a cult figure would work really well considering the real life slenderman cult stabbings, perhaps a Charles Manson type?
8
u/mrstretchb4ureach 11d ago
I agree. I like the idea of making a story like Five Nights at Freddy's more realistic. Like it would be a story about malfunctioning animatronics. And you would leave it up to the viewer whether or not they act out due to their circuits going haywire, supernatural possession, or if the entire thing is in the protagonist's head.
6
u/Corvidist_Comrade 11d ago
Or some sort of scooby-Doo situation, in addition to serial killers using the exploding popularity of the internet to build what are essentially competing brands and mythologies.
5
u/Cheesyman7269 11d ago
Or maybe sonic.exe and those creepy-pastas about video games being the results of hallucinations or abuses?
97
u/WhatNameDidIUseAgain 11d ago
This is pretty epic, i am intrigued to see what or who you do next
39
u/TransFemGothBabe 11d ago
i have a few ideas 🙂↕️
25
u/WhatNameDidIUseAgain 11d ago
Also is that pick of Jeff photoshopped or is it a real mugshot image?
40
u/TransFemGothBabe 11d ago
it’s photoshopped lol glad you didn’t assume i was a bitch and used ai
15
u/WhatNameDidIUseAgain 11d ago
Oh course not, it’s very cleanly made and looks legitimately like a mugshot photo lmao

May I suggest you do a "realistic retake" on Squidwards Suicide or any other lost episode for this series? I can imagine Red Mist being sort of an elaborate prank by some deranged serial killer who worked at Nickelodeon or something.
53
u/DSKommado 11d ago
I can't think of any other creepypastas that aren't explicitly supernatural though
51
u/Interesting_Finish85 11d ago
What about Proxies (the venerators of Slenderman) becoming an actual organized death cult convinced of hearing the commands of a demon. Considering how homicides have been committed in real life by people convinced of the existance of Slenderman, it's not even that far fetched.

candle cove technically, i guess. creepy tv show that very few kids saw. just would have to get rid of the static when parents are watching part, maybe instead it's only on when parents are away
13
u/HAUNTEZUMA 11d ago
really, you can make a lot of creepypastas semi-realistic by just removing the supernatural elements. slenderman is basically just evil bigfoot.

6
u/TardisTrekkie84302 11d ago
The Russian Sleep Experiment is an experiment gone wrong with pretty sure no supernatural elements. While,Momo is just a photo of a real life art piece with a fictional backstory

YOOOOO THE GUY
I REMEMBER WHEN I FIRST HEARD ABOUT HIM I ACTUALLY CRIED AY NIGHT BECAUSE I WAS TOO SCARED 😭😭😭
18
u/TransFemGothBabe 11d ago
i used to pray every night to the creepypastas so they wouldn’t kill me in my sleep i think that’s how religions start

It would be fun to see grounded versions of Creepy Pastas, how these events would be reported in the media, and how people would react to them.
Like, Sonic.Exe as a version of the game made by a disgruntled Sonic Team enployee which then got distributed to retailers. This results in the game being recalled and another moral panic against video games.
Laughing Jack as a clown-themed serial killer that took advantage of the Killer Clown sighting of 2016. This severely escalates the police response leading to the deaths of various people in clown costumes.
Red Mist / Squidward's Suicide was a terrible joke made by one of the animators or story board artists. It resulted in the employee being fired and it became coveted by Lost Media hunters.

I remember seeing this Slenderman series once (it wasn't Marble Hornets) that mixed some German folklore around it and some sort of cult involvement that was active during the 40s (with high-ranking Nazi ties, mostly). I think they even had a crossover with the EveryManHYBRID guys.
Man, nostalgia hits hard with this one haha.
It would be interesting to see how you build something with that, perhaps a bit in a tone that leaves the line between real and supernatural open to interpretation.

u/PostalDoctor 11d ago
This is really fun. Are you gonna do ones based on.. y’know, actually good creepypastas..?
9
u/TransFemGothBabe 11d ago
prob mostly bad/cliche old ones lol i thought about doing candle cove but there really isn’t much of a spin i could put on it since it already teeters on the line of realism and fantasy

u/Highrebublic_legend 11d ago
I think you could go the conspiracy theory route with a wendigoon video.

and now a difficult challenge: do something similar with Smile Dog.

u/DannyBright 11d ago
My question is how did Jeff not go blind from not having eyelids?
11
u/TransFemGothBabe 11d ago
in this timeline he didn’t fully burn his eyelids off for this exact reason
5
u/kidnamedfinger_42069 11d ago
Is this image like a witness sketch or something in universe?
2
u/TransFemGothBabe 10d ago
assumedly in this timeline that image either doesn’t exist or remains within its original context as a creepy japanese meme

I'm curious how long did you work on the Jeff Photoshop? :D
3
u/TransFemGothBabe 11d ago
thank you! a good bit lol originally i used real mugshots as a base but i worry that would’ve come off as disrespectful
3
u/Eldritchxx 11d ago
I can understand that, this Jeff actually reminded me of The Painter villain from UrbanSpook's Analog Horror YouTube series! Think it's the long hair lol

would slender man just be a rlly tall guy

u/ImperialxWarlord 11d ago
Anyone else feel a lot of these posts that while creative just don’t seem to have much history in them?
1
u/TransFemGothBabe 11d ago
that’s a fair criticism, i tried to make it feel like recently history though, with other parts in this series i want to expand on how this timeline exists as a history
1
u/ImperialxWarlord 11d ago
Fair. Just seems like the last week I’ve seen stuff so random it doesn’t seem historical or political.

u/thatwimpyguy 11d ago
playing tf2 has corrupted my brain so much that i can't think of "sandman" without thinking of this
3
u/TransFemGothBabe 11d ago
my favorite part of jeff the killer is when he does the pre nerf combo with the flying guillotine
2
u/thatwimpyguy 11d ago
you just know he put clips of the sandman-cleaver combo in his 2013 scout frag montage number #565723146. he taunted after every kill.

Maybe RED is some sort of 1980s computer virus that primarily affected Nintendo and the company that made the game the Godzilla NES creepypasta is based off of

Honestly if the Jeff the Killer story was accurate Jeff would have gone blind without his eyelids, but that was honestly the least stupid part of that story

u/Unfirings 11d ago
There are so many pastas for this subreddit which very well could be used. This is one great example, that face is terrifying.
2
u/JetAbyss 11d ago
I wonder how Slender Man would work.
I do like the idea that Slender Man isn't actually real but is somehow a cult created out of sheer hysteria but that might be a little insensitive given how IRL a crime did really happen with a bunch of Slender Man fangirls

Where’s the carved smile man? He’s missing the most important detail! Sure his mouth is carved but that’s more of a “huh” than a smile
2
u/TransFemGothBabe 11d ago
the whole point is to make this jeff as realistic as possible, and if you had a mental breakdown and started slicing your mouth i don’t think you could carve a perfect smile
