I have SO many questions and I'm absolutely as a long time fan of this game, so damn curious how this expansion is going to play out. The sheer variety of environments is so contrasting and interesting. The new world is nothing like I thought it would be based on past information.

I’m assuming it will play out like all their other ones, square don’t take big chances with this mmo. You’ll get more story on the already bloated story, followed by the extremes, then a raid tier to start the gear treadmill.

The one thing that interests me was the announcement of the beast master class! I’m hoping it’s like wow and you can collect beast “Pokemon” and battle other players with your collection. But I have a fear it’s just gonna be blue mage 2.0 and if that’s the case that’s imo is a shame.

I remember after I graduated college in 2022 I decided I was going to buckle down and hammer out the story. A month later I still didn't get to Heavenward and I eventually just gave up.....lol. I think the between DLC storylines are great but man they are long. I'm not sure I beat Shadowbringer. I think I did.

A lot of people say it gets better it gets better! The best way I can explain it is if you didn’t like the core gameplay and core story no I’d don’t get better. It doesn’t change really nothing major, just some of the cutscenes gets voiced and a few improvements here and there but nothing major.

I will say if you enjoyed the early part then yeah you’ll enjoy the improvements, but for me if you’ve gotta hammer out the story just to find something you wanna enjoy I think their are better options imo.

Oh, don't get me wrong - I absolutely love the core gameplay. The job system is next to none. Absolutely amazing game.

I was just hoping to finish the story that literally didn't seem like it had an end.

The two things I despise is MOG Station and you cannot skip those loooooooong cutscenes for the dungeons or whatever they are called.

So im trying to play this for the first time, but I can't get past the login screen, i have triple checked the username and password and its 100 % correct

After about 30 minutes of listening to the painful menu music, i realised that my square enix account isn't what they are asking for, they are asking for something an account created on mogstation?

Anyway that was the most painful account linking I've ever witnessed in a video game

Just as a warning, I believe servers get crazy congested when the new expansions come out. I tried playing right around the time Endwalker was out and had to wait a couple weeks for it to cool off (I could have waited in queue but didn't want to LOL)

I really need to go back and give this game another chance

No I love 30 thousand player ques PER SERVER LOL

But tbf, dynamis was supposed to exist before EW came out and was delayed due to covid/server scarcity.

EU now has Shadow, NA has the older and brand new dynamis worlds, and Japan has OCE.

All of which where made literally with avoiding que times from being as bad.

I mean when your game is so popular you have to STOP SELLING the game you did something right.

(Though I adamantly swear by all that is holy in gaming. The game is 1000000% worth it)

the Square Enix Store and the Mogstation use totally separate account systems. The only one you need to use for logging into and managing the game is the Mogstation account; you can safely ignore the SE Store account.

Also (sorry for the excitement. I love new players lol) I would HIGHLY suggest following these UI and targeting guides.

The thing about an MMO is that setting up a UI might take a while but then you never really have to do it again! Absolutely worth the time to get comfortable and get the correct settings!
