Welcome the newest member of our Moderation Team: u/QualityVote Mod Update

Hello everyone!

Recently we have seen a (major) uptick in the number of low effort posts and the number of spam bots on this subreddit.

While we as moderators try to take action as rapidly as we can against these low effort posts and bad actors, we are all still human, and have lives outside of Reddit.

In order to (hopefully) help cleanup the sub, we have invited u/QualityVote to be a moderator. For those unfamiliar, u/QualityVote is a bot that will post a comment on every new post asking users to upvote the post if it's of high quality/fits the subreddit or downvote the post if it is low quality or does not fit the subreddit. After reaching a certain threshold of downvotes (set by us) the post will be automatically removed.

We are hoping that this will allow quicker action to be taken to remove low effort/off topic posts and generally help clean up the subreddit. Please let us know if you have any questions.

To this day I still find it funny that a South Park subreddit has a list of rules lmao

That just sounds like upvoting and downvoting with extra steps

looking forward to an uptick in the quality of moderation here.

Maintaining the low-effort schtick is deceptively a lot of responsibility, but I have faith my latest engagement will be sufficiently shit on in no-time.

As reddit's beacon to all-things-southpark, the community has a hot-stack which looks like it's probably inviting for those creative-types you'd find right out of the show, and just as you would suspect, it has all the tropes too.

I don't think TP&MS could ask for more.
