People are saying he was sick. Hoarse voice, noticeable cough, aloof, etc.

If I had to guess, I’d say he was feeling under the weather and all that debate prep fucked with his head. When he is just speaking as a human he doesn’t have issues. He was trying to remember all that shit they wanted him to do and say and he was tired and feeling lousy and it didn’t go too well.

But then wouldn’t he have been sick for this as well? Unless he got miraculously way better in less than 24 hours. I’m a Biden supporter but I’m just confused as hell (as to what happened at the debate, not who I’m supporting in November).

Edit: thank you for those who left some insightful comments. I just hope if this was isolated, that he makes a great comeback next time. We need Trump to fuck off forever.

You can see him coughing at 2:42 and some other places in the vid.

this is the real-time fact-checking we missed from CNN.

Not to mention he's usually in bed by that time of night. He's an octogenarian, after all, and is usually pretty sharp for a man of his age, but as a good bit younger man, I know I'm not at my best at times I'm normally asleep either.

My guess would be that his handlers pumped him full of cold & flu meds so that he wouldn't be sniffling and coughing through the debate, particularly since Republicans kept commenting that he'd be on drugs. Given Hunter's habits, the last thing they want is Joe sitting there sniffling and snorting and rubbing his nose all night.

But those meds can absolutely fuck you up. They'll give you the nastiest dry mouth you can imagine and they'll make you foggy as hell (most of them have nice warnings like "do not operate heavy equipment for 24 hours after taking"). I imagine his team didn't really take that into consideration.

They make you jittery too which tracks because he seemed jittery as well. Like anything with pseudoephedrine could have given him fog brain while making him talk a thousand miles an hour. It's happened to me before after taking cold medicine so you're probably right on the nose. All he needed was a good nights sleep and he was back on the horse today! You love to see it

Yea if anything his team fucked up and they had bad luck. Why even send him in with any facts at all when Trump just uses words like “double and triple” and “billions” as he lies.

He probably slept like shit the night before and the debate started at 9 pm the next night.

Stress weakens your immune system. Sleep makes you feel better. Maybe it means he was nervous because he actually gives a shit about the country. Also why does it have to be so late? Even I was ready for bed and I'm still in my 30s.

East vs. west coast. That's the time they know the maximum will watch.

You never woke up feeling better?

Not like 100% better. The change was very drastic for him (at least based on my experience being sick; maybe I get more sick than most? 🤷🏻‍♂️)

Lmao, apparently not.

I had strep throat recently, and it got rough- dizzy and disoriented, massive fatigue, barely able to keep my eyes open, barely able to get up to use the bathroom, high fever, etc.

Got myself antibiotics and pulled a chunk of wax out of my ear, and within 24 hours I was up and cleaning.

Modern medicine is crazy sometimes.

He was sundowning. Because he has dementia and he shouldn't be allowed anywhere near the presidential office.

I turned on the debate halfway through it and immediately could tell Biden had a cold. Was kind of flabbergasted by everyone dogpiling on him for having a cold as if they've never been sick in their lives. I was sick for the past month and could not have gotten on TV and talked coherently about national policy with all the meds I was taking.

I really don't understand how Trump can be out there spewing deranged lies and somehow Biden is the problem because he has a cold.

I felt the same way.

I blame whatever cold meds he was on, tbh.
