I have seen zero news articles that mention this, only Reddit comments. The article linked by OP makes no mention of this.

Albinism generally causes severe eyesight issues.

Correct. But where is the source for everyone claiming he has albinism?

People that know him in his community.

Correct. One of my childhood best friends is albino and is legally blind. He also has a twin brother whose albino and blind, which is apparently a 25% chance as they're not identical. They can read, write, and work certain jobs, but only one of them can drive. They tilt their heads in photos and to read. Very cool dudes.

Makes sense. So white you blind yourself.

It’s not uncommon for people with albinism to be legally blind or have pretty bad vision problems. Plus general light sensitivity because there’s not enough melanin in the eye.

This happened in my area it's all over my feed.

He got lost in the burn zone from the 2020 cuz fire, and I can confirm the landscape is very different from pre fire. https://www.newsnationnow.com/missing/missing-california-hiker-lukas-mcclish-photos/

It's on Reddit so therefore it is true and will soon be codified into history with AI.

It’s likely he asked the reporters to leave that part out. He is definitely vision impaired, I work with someone who is close with him and we heard the local fire station up here start cheering loudly the moment he was found

Your right, I can’t find anything to suggest he any sorta blind in any article.

I don’t think they can disclose his medical conditions.

If he does have albinism, it's very likely that he's blind.
