This is the most obvious “you’re fired” trade if I’ve ever seen one

Nah, he’s clearing out the old regime’s mess while picking up assets. This is by design and is objectively a good move.

He means that the Mavs are firing THJ!

Grimes is still an asset imo, and THJ is a salary dump. Cleaning up messes or not, you don't give up assets to take on bad salary. Three second rounders does not make up for that either.

THJ was Nico's fault. He re-signed him to this stupid contract in his 1st year as a GM and also didn't re-sign Brunson.

How is anything that I wrote wrong? Re-signing THJ was basically Nico's first decision as a GM. And he didn't re-sign Brunson to the 54/4 contract that he would have accepted at the time.

was named general manager of the Dallas Mavericks on June 28, 2021. He came in today 3 years ago . Cubes was still calling the shots basically. Don't put the bullshit on nico. Once he got his sea legs. He's batting like .600

So good decisions are Nico's and wrong are Cuban's? Nico was the GM at the time, and being new to the job doesn't absolve him of responsibility. And when it comes to Brunson, he had a couple of months to re-sign him, but didn't.
