How do we feel about horchata?

I like making horchata by soaking rice, cinnamon, star anise and cloves in water overnight and then strain the solids out and pouring the water into a glass with ice and topping with ground cinnamon and nutmeg

What temperature of water is the best?

I was trying to catch up to a podcast I like (Trash Taste), and they had an argument about whether ice cold water or room temperature water was better. Everyone in this sub can agree that water is amazing, but I'm wondering if we all agree that cold water is the best, or if there are people here who prefer room temperature water.

Here's the relevant clip from the podcast: https://youtu.be/WhgXLJbLqeQ

Spicy water Nothing cuts a sugar craving like sparkling water!

I'm so grateful with the multitudes of sparkling waters pretty much everywhere. Fighting a sugar craving is a real b*tch sometimes and nothing helps me like a can of flavored static.

Lots of gratitude for the positivity towards em!

Watertok is the dumbest thing ever

Upvotes

Hi everyone! I’m new to this sub and I just wanted to vent my frustration with watertok. A few times a day on my fyp I see ppl making their “water of the day”. They get a big glass of ice so far off to a good start, then they add all these packets and pumps of flavor and add water ontop of it. That stuff is not water it is literally juice! And if water is that hard for you to drink have a liquid IV instead still not the best but a lot better than the junk and chemicals in the watertok influencers videos.

Spicy water FOR MY SPARKLING LOVERS, I HAVE COME TO SAVE YOU.

Upvotes

For any Perrier fans, you've probably already noticed the "new" Maison Perrier hitting the shelves. Shit's ass. Just no other way to put it. The flavor is off and the bubbles don't quite feel the same. Worry not, I have found a solution.

If you or anyone you know may own a food/beverage business and have a Sysco account, Sysco still has access to original SOURCE Perrier as they are the largest food/beverage distributor in the world. They have purchasing power most companies cannot even dream of having which leads to access to hard to find products, in this case, Source Perrier.

Water threatment subreddit?

Hi all

About a year ago i came across some content about a subreddit and to an extent an entire subculture of people "tuning" their water with special filters and then adding minerals and such back in to make their perfect water. Some liked a super refreshing spring taste, others where chasing Perrier flavour.

But i cannot find what this subreddit or culture is called anymore and i want to revisit it and maybe get into this stuff. I hope someone here knows.

Just to clarify, it's not about adding like fruit flavours or something. just clear clean water tuned to perfection.

Feeling like I'm swallowing something physical while drinking

Upvotes

Sometimes when I drink water, It feels like there's something in it that gets through my throat. But when looking at the water itself, it looks fine... Nothing there.

Is this normal? Or is it time for me to change my water filter?

Need help with options/aternatives for bite valve

Thumbnail

I have this drinking system for my daughter with special needs. The first picture is the straw with a check valve at the bottom that makes it a little easier for her to drink. The problem is, when the straw ends up angled right, you end up with a siphon and it just keeps dribbling out on her. A bite valve is problematic because she has pulled it out (chewed it off?) And it becomes a choking hazard.

I don't remember the exact size of the check valve or straw tube off the top of my head (a standard flexible staw is the same).

Can anyone recommend some alternatives for a bite valve that don't come off easily? I know the check valve is hard to pull off. Please feel free to suggest other subs that may have better insight

Arfid advice

Hi, I'm looking for suggestions to help keep my partner hydrated. They've developed arfid and it's beginning to affect their relationship with liquids as well as foods.

They get stuck on the taste of plain water, are put off by anything too sweet, and have trouble with tea, coffee, or broth because they get intrusive thoughts about how the liquid isn't [liquid] but actually [ingredient] mixed into water, and then it's gross to them.

When I can get them to drink, they'll get nauseous and then that puts them off liquids more.

Sodas are usually okay, but I worry about their teeth, and they can usually handle premade things because "if I buy it already made, my brain thinks of it as having always been that thing".

Has anyone dealt with something like this before or knows of cost-effective solutions to keep them consuming at least 80oz a day?

The base is 6.3in aka 160mm.

Summer’s here and I don’t want my big cup to get destroyed or destroy my desk.
